I have ALWAYS loved this store, we often visit when weâre in town since moving out of the area. I have a customer service request,. Very disappointed about two incidents. Please keep your dressing room attendant in place, in the dressing room area at all times, donât have them assigned to other things. Itâs a customer service thing. If the required MAX of 6 at a time is your policy then someone needs to be In that area to watch the items on HOLD at all times. Customers arenât paying attention to the âHOLD for customerâ signs on the racks when things are clipped together and on HOLD. At one point, I was standing outside my daughterâs changing room so I could hand her new items and cycle through what was on the HOLD rack by her dressing room. If I hadnât been standing there, a customer would have taken one of my daughterâs items that caught the customerâs eye, she reached for it as she was walking into her dressing room. Secondly, this morning, after returning home from the west side, my daughter mentioned she never did get to try on the several pair of dressy work pants she had found on the clearance rack for $2, and a store staff put aside on the HOLD rack for her to try on once she was done shopping. It dawned on me! Another customer (not the same one mentioned) above, was trying on the pants my daughter had given to a clerk to HOLD to try on, while I was back in the dressing room area trying on my own items. I just assumed my daughter had already tried them on earlier from an earlier batch? So I didnât question it. Again, these were items my daughter found for work on the clearance $2 rack! New To You, you need a better system. This is an easy fix. You have enough dressing rooms, put a small chalkboard on the door, when your staff takes a batch of clothes from a customer, those items are placed in a room with the customers first name and perhaps, first letter of last name, on the chalkboard, the area is staffed at all times. Nearly every retail clothing store I shop at nowadays uses this system. I know these are only clothes, BUT when a customer shops in your store, especially being out of town, and we find items we need like my daughterâs work pants (for $2 clearance rack!) Your HOLD system, of having staff take the clothing from the customer while shopping, to help take the load off and have a HOLD rack, THEN PLEASE MAKE SURE all of those items are ready for THAT customer when theyâre ready to try them on, and other customers know these items are on HOLD for someone else and they arenât up for grabs! Keep staff in that area at all times. Very disappointed for my daughter - she needs work pants! Please fix your dressing room...
Read moreI waited over a year since being wrongfully fired to write this review so there isnât any kind of bitterness or anger. I am very grateful actually as now I have the most awesome full time job making over double what I did here. (Min. Wage).. I always thought something was fishy about how they lie to consigners telling them their items that donât sell are donated. Ya they are donated to the sister store in Salem. Manager said the owner donates the monetary value to âbig brother big sisterâ and then keeps the items. First of all, big brother big sister is a national non profit sponsored by companies like Netflix, the nfl, and Verizon just to name a few. Why not keep it local since this is a local business? And why not tell consigners whatâs really happening to their unsold items. Where is this proof of donating said monetary value? Now they shortened the time items are for sale. Well thatâs cuz then they get more inventory for his other store more quickly. This company needs new management for sure and to rethink their policy so itâs geared more towards the consigners and not the owner gaining free inventory. I know this all to be true, so donât let them try to fool ya. Also so judgmental, if u look any type of way they donât like, they are all over u. They also have no idea some of the value of things that come through there. I use to buy off the sale rack and then resell it online. I bought a dress for $8, sold it for $350!! I tried to bring this to their attention, but the management is so stuck in their ways that they totally brushed me off time after time again. So if u consign here, just know they have no clue what ur items are potentially worth and ur unsold stuff is going straight to the other store as inventory. I hope this is seen by others so they have a better idea of what is going on here. Just very deceptive, shady business practices if u ask me. The old owners knew how to run the store. They didnât do donations at all back then. Hmmmm. đ¤ is it a coincidence that they do now and have another store as well? I donât think so. If anyone has any questions about my review or knowledge of these lies please reach out on...
Read moreMy daughter and I had a wonderful shopping experience yesterday near closing. The storeâs open areas were comfortable and not crowded with other shoppers, which was a good feeling. All staff were helpful and friendly and we saw sanitizing being done regularly during our visit. We both found items that we had hoped to find at reasonable prices. BUT... there were signs in the dressing rooms that said there would be a free New to You tote bag with a $50 plus purchase. We were both so excited, they were nice bags! As I was handed the receipt for my over $60 purchase I asked about the bags. The check out person seemed puzzled, and I mentioned the sign in the dressing room. My daughter also said her dressing room had the sign. I was finally told that this offer was only valid on Christmas Eve. Apparently 2 days later none of the signs had been taken down. That was very disappointing and would have been only right to continue the offer that was still advertised thought out the store. I would have been glad to be offered one to purchase! The experience left a very poor impression on my out-of-town daughter, and...
