I picked up clicklist on 3/28 - $56.43 worth of food from my order…. 3/29 - charged again, a higher price by over $16.49.
Called the number via the app. Entered my Kroger number and the automated system told me they noticed I was overcharged, and wanted to give me $5 credit, once I told it no, it kicked me out. Used live chat - was told that I wasn’t my husband so they couldn’t help. Chatted again (with my husband right by me) and I was told that I was charged more today because my items were substituted. I told her to check again because they weren’t. So she said she didn’t know why, but they adjusted my prices. She saw no issue with this. I called customer service again, lady took into and transfer my call. I explained I’m missing items- credit was processed . I told him about the charges and he said the order was checked out today and those are the prices. I told him I picked it up yesterday, and he said he had to call the store to verify. After waiting 10 minutes with him calling (you can never get through to them…. I had tried that too this morning), I drove up there. I knocked on the clicklist door and the rep for her lead. The Lead was defensive. Told me he wasn’t there yesterday but he came in this morning and processed all the orders on the screen because that’s his job.
Customer service guy finally understands that Kroger processed my order today (and everyone else’s!!!) due to a computer issue……. Had that been reported to customer service, this would have been handled this morning quickly…….
Customer service guy says he will give me a $20 gift card for my troubles with overcharging me. I said no, I paid with a credit card and I want the funds back on there…. He told me it wasn’t possible. So I explained to him the card brand rules and refunds need to be refunded to the card, magically- refunding my card was possible.
I didn’t want a gift card for my trouble. I wanted my funds back…..
While I understand computer issues can’t be helped- there should be a process to auto refund those that were overcharged (bc prices changed this morning).
This simple issue should not have taken me 2 hours - a non answer call to Westport Kroger, 2 chats, a call and transfer with customer service, a drive, two in person...
Read moreTry to stay away from this grocery store! I work nights, so I usually grocery shop late on my off days (the schedule I’m use to). I came into the store around 9:30 last night, walking in noticing there was checkout lanes clear & I thought “oh great, this is going to be quick). I spent roughly 30 mins in the store, got all my monthly grocery things in my cart (it was very full, almost overflowing). I headed to checkout to see there were no lines open. Only self checkout. I had probably 75+ items in my cart. I just had abdomen surgery a few days ago so I can’t move around a lot in my stomach area, and asked the lady at self checkout were there any lines they could open for me. The lady told me “we close our lines an hour before close”. There was not any sign on the door, I was not aware they close the lanes that early as every other Kroger I’ve ever been to has 1 lane atleast open until closing time. Why close the line an hour early if the store time says 11? And she told me I had to self checkout. I asked her was there a way someone could hold my groceries until the morning so I could come back when a line was open & she told me “no you have to use self checkout”. I’m sorry, but as I see tons of associates walking around on phones as they have nothing to do I guess the last hour of being open, I am not going to self checkout over 75 items after having abdominal surgery when I got there plenty of time before the store closed. An hour and a half. I will not be coming back here and the customer service experience I dealt with is horrible....
