Read moreI recently took a trip to Louisville for my grandfather's passing.
My brother had really been wanting to try Filipino food, given that we now have some god-children in the family that are Filipino and we really wanted an authentic taste of the culture.
This place is absolutely magnificent. Let me start by saying that we came in roughly an hour before they closed; I'm always reluctant to come into a business so late, but they welcomed us with open arms and were such wonderful people.
I believe her name was Cindy, had asked us if we liked to sing, and started up a karaoke machine that we could all sing to while we were waiting for our food! It was such a lovely time to bond with my family over food and music.
The food was INCREDIBLE, I kid you not that it was likely the best meal I've had all year (and it's October, as I write this). I don't recall the specific dish that I loved so much, but it was a fried pork belly with a vinegar sauce to compliment it. Oh man it was unreal.
I cannot thank you enough for this amazing experience, these are such wonderful wonderful people and their food is just as good. Thank you for making our somewhat sad trip, much much brighter with your: good company,...
Read moreI can say many wonderful things about this restaurant that stands out from most other restaurants in Louisville, the way that you feel when you come in and sit down and are greeted by the staff is amazing and is exactly how Filipino culture really is, they bring that full experience to you when you eat here. Having been to the Philippines six times in my life I can honestly say that this restaurant reminds me of the hospitality and culture that the Philippines represents, the hostess/waitress is very kind and very friendly and she makes you feel right at home in their restaurant which is something missing from most restaurants in the USA altogether, that feeling that you're part of their family. I hope that this restaurant flourishes for many years and that they're able to expand and bring this experience to more people, the food is very good and truly is reflective of Philippine cuisine.
Just in case you were wondering they do have a speaker that they allow people to use for karaoke and sometimes one of the owners will come out and play guitar and sing, I'm really looking forward to seeing their menu grow to include sushi. I think you will have a wonderful experience when you choose...
