I used to love coming here to find nice and unique items at a reasonable price. But after a few months of not finding any good items for a decent price, I decided to take a break. Well I went in the store today and there’s a sign stating that (as of July 1st) customers will be charged a fee (3.6% I think) to use a credit or debit card. So I go in and I see this rectangle dark brown/black table that had leafs to make an oval table priced at $174.99. Now this table has scratches all over it and it doesn’t have any chairs. They have ridiculously up their prices (almost retail) on used/damaged merchandise that was DONATED! And I guess they expect their customers to bring cash (but not at those prices) because I’m sure no one wants to be charged at a nonprofit thrift store to use their debit or credit card. Response to reply: Antique or not (looked very modern if you ask me) the table is sitting in a nonprofit thrift store, not an antique store or even consignment store. Also, if you’re going to charge your customers a fee because you decided to run and maintain a credit card machine that you can’t afford isn’t the customers fault. Maybe put a price limit for using the machine. But if I spend $30 or more (which I do every time I’ve made a purchase sometimes weekly and even donated 100s of dollars worth of items in the past 2 years) then I shouldn’t be charged. I can understand charging those that want to use a card for $10 or less. So, to make all your customers happy maybe you should get rid of the machine all together. But then you’d also need to slash those prices on the donations because what normal person will walk into a thrift store with over $20 cash? People now a days don’t even carry cash. Also, most thrift stores (GCF) don’t even accept credit/debit cards due to the fees and if they do, they eat the cost because that’s just business! I know because I used to work for Good Will. I pray that you...

I absolutely love this place and the employee's here are so sweet and very respectful. But there's one reason why you should shop here instead of other thrift stores and that's because the majority of the money (A small amount of money they make goes to a couple of paid employees) they make here goes straight into the Living Free Ministries program from Snow Camp NC that helps men who are addicted to drugs and alcohol get help 100% free of charge for 6 months through showing the love and compassion of Jesus Christ and how to overcome their addictions through God's word and it's unbelievable to see what that program has done and will continue to do as far as helping people. So when you shop here you will find a great deal on just about everything here but it's more than a great deal here. Your money here is going to change lives and souls from addiction and hell. Don't get me wrong some other thrift stores like Goodwill etc. might be great in some way but with addiction being a huge epidemic right now this is where people need to show up and support cause everyone knows someone with some kind of addiction. There's a great quote by Einstein that sums it all up when he said "The world will not be destroyed by those who do evil, but by those who watch them without doing anything". Remember to show love and compassion to those who are down because Jesus hung out with those who were misfits in society of his time and those who were humble and meek and Jesus disliked and still dislikes those who think high and mighty of themselves, the selfish and the proud. And this ministry shows that love and compassion that Jesus had by helping addicts. I definitely recommend this place to anybody. Thanks for taking the time to read this review and remember God is love so spread the...

I absolutely love this place! Moved here a few months ago and found Living Free Ministries assuming like any other thrift store, they sold donations. However they stand for much more and i adore it!My 1st visit i walk in and see a sign stating on a certain date,a % would be taken from debit card users to "help pay the men"..as in the men that work hard to get those heavy furniture items we buy,in and out of store to our cars ectra..examples like that i find awesome. Not to mention pricing is super affordable for anyone, and the selection is crazy..i never thought id find a 50$ power cord to my laptop for .49 cent! Clothing, children's items, household, kitchen, electrical, furniture, crafting,EVERYTHING you name it,if they dont have that day, they will get it sometime soon! Lastly, the associates are wonderfully kind and helpful..i highly recommend,as I'm a mom of 4,i find this place a life saver for...
