STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT! We will never be returning to shore lanes , My family used to go to shore lanes every Friday for the last 5 years but customer service continues to get worse and worse which always makes our experience terrible , and after my experience today with an extremely rude employee we will NEVER be returning to shore lanes, my 5 year old son tried to get a ball that was stuck in a gutter , which I did not notice until the chubby employee wearing a backwards hat belittled so him bad in front of everyone, I nicely went up to him and said I understand he shouldn’t have been doing that but you didn’t need to speak to him that way, he rudely said well why are you letting him walk on the lanes and I said I wasn’t letting him do that I did not see when he started to do it, either way you could have handled that differently, you are not to speak to a child like that , he continued to walk away while I’m talking to him and told me he will yell and talk how ever he pleases! The amount of disrespect this guy gave to my son and I was unbelievable!! Shore lanes , you used to have a fun family environment, unfortunately everyone there seems to hate their job and is miserable. We WILL NEVER RETURN, and to Mr chubby, I truly hope no one treats you or your kids the way you did my son and I today, I’m all one for others scolding my kids when needed but what you did today what completely un called For, my son was so hurt after that incident and didn’t want to continue the birthday party we ended up leaving because he was hurt and embarrassed, it was all he could talk about for the rest of the evening. We will...
Read moreBeen here a few times, but I think this is my first review.
PROS *Staff are friendly and able to accommodate you due to concerns or issues you are having *Pro Shop has some good materials and good deals *Arcade for the kids, pool and bar area for the adults *Bar serves New Castle (fiancé's favorite drink) *Lanes are nice and clean *Bathrooms (men & women) located on both sides of the alley *Food stand is nice with a decent variety.
CONS *It can be difficult to spin your ball around to locate the holes due to the bumper sides not being friendly *At some other bowling alleys, you can choose the graphics/fun screen. These ones you cannot. *If your name is longer than four letters, it will be cut off up top but when it's your turn on the bottom of the screen it displays your whole name. *Chairs can be uncomfortable. Some only spin a little, some spin close to the halfway mark. It can be difficult to maneuver in and out of. *Arcade is front and to the left. You have to pass it and the prizes to get to the front counter for bowling. As someone who used to have to bargain with a younger sibling about bowling first THEN arcade, this would have made things difficult if he was younger now. *Food is not delivered to your table (some bowling alleys do deliver) so you have to listen carefully for your name to be called.
Overall, it's an average bowling alley. I don't mind visiting because it's close to home, but I do prefer going the extra distance for a fall league at the other lanes in Melbourne. The lanes don't give me that wow factor or memorable place. It's a...
Read moreJust witnessed a little boy get his throat choked by his father in an extremely violent manner. The child then pushed down by his hand and shoved under a table where the child hid for the next hour crying. The staff employee that was told about the incident acted completely unprofessional and rude. Another lady there called the Melbourne Police. When the police arrived they paid absolutely no attention to the child and his well-being, didn’t examine him for marks and actually didn’t even realize he was still hiding under a table right behind them while they spoke with the father, who actually was able to trick the police completely into thinking he only grabbed the back of the child’s neck (to press a relaxation pressure point). Not only was it unbelievable to see Police behave in such a naive and ignorant manner, they actually ended up threatening to arrest and trespass the other families that were concerned about the child’s safety.
I pray that that child doesn’t continue to get strangled. And after hearing some of the police’s threats, I sincerely hope the Melbourne Police get more training on Florida State Law. Don’t spend $300-400 like one family did because god forbid you witness someone get choked or stabbed, you’ll be banned from the building after paying them for Terrible customer service. And evidently threatened by the police for any reason the criminal can make up. Ha. Wow. I wasn’t even involved in this but it’s just disgusting how awful these cops behave and how little they know about enforcing the...
