Antique Gallery — Local services in Memphis

Full disclosure: I am not a paying customer, but I felt the need to leave a review after my interaction with an individual over the phone.

The lady I spoke to became curt once I inquired about any consignment options. Once she realized I was not going to buy anything her tone of voice suddenly changed and she hung up the phone. It’s not the end of the world (I’m not leaving a 1 star review or turning to all social media sites to bash the company), but good service is important in every industry. And arguably more important when the goods and services you’re offering doesn’t differ that much from your competitors.

Before today I haven’t been particularly knowledgeable or had any preference on antique stores in Memphis. After the phone call I’m still no more knowledgeable about local antique stores, however this interaction bumped this place down for me a bit.

Even though I wasn’t a paying customer today, I could have been some day in the future. I get it: money helps keep things running day to day and my phone call had the potential from keeping you from a paying customer. But building a loyal customer base and a positive experience with every interaction can help a company navigate through most any...

Awesome vendors, terrible service. I’m 20 years old and have been coming here consistently for a few years and my family even once had a booth here a few years ago. Being young in places like this I’ve had people follow me before etc expecting me to steal or something which hasn’t shocked me because I’m young. However, never have I had an experience as blatantly rude as I did today. When I came to the counter to checkout with about $80 worth of stuff none of the three employees said anything to me, none of the employees were preoccupied and all flat out ignored me even after I greeted them several times. While checking out I tried to even make conversation all of which they ignored. Finally when checking out after a couple employees had left the woman ringing me up only started to speak to me after processing my card which went through without issue so that she could have me put my contact info on the receipt should there be a problem with my transaction… It was clear given the circumstances this was only because i was young, when my mother who hd been there the day before was not asked to do this. I love spending time here. It's a huge place that would easily take more than one trip to see it all! It has a bright, happy atmosphere, with kind, & helpful cashiers, music playing, neatly & creatively displayed booths, and immaculate restrooms.

Im instantly welcomed in and consistently treated well, same are the friends and family i bring there.

They have shopping baskets for your convenience and each one is lined with small carpeting for transport of delicate items while you shop. They have a designated shelving area, sort of like an oversized baker's rack where you can place items you intend to purchase if you don't wish to push a basket.

There is such a vast variety of selection. . . each Booth is very different from the next; and you are sure to find some treasures there. And you will likely leave planning on coming back again♡.
