Get ready for this. If I could give 0 stars, I would. First. I placed an order through Uber eats and after an HOUR AND A HALF of it “prepping” and the arrival time changing 8 different times I canceled the order and decided to just place it myself and go pick it up. (Side note, I’m 7 months pregnant it’s now 8:30 at night and the order was placed at 7:14. Whatever.) I called multiple times to try and place the order before I arrived to the restaurant. When I arrived Ms. TONYA asked what she could do for me. I said I needed to place a to go order. She huffed and pushed some menus to me and said here you go. I said oh I already have it saved. She huffed again “Is it a big order?” No... it’s for me and my husband. As she is finishing up her current to go order the young teen asked for hot syrup instead of packaged. She threw the biggest fit I have ever seen from a GROWN WOMAN. She had the ugliest attitude and was just down right RUDE to this this teenage girl who simply asked for hot syrup. She then finishes their order and very rudely stated to me “I hate to go orders with a passion, i don’t answer the phone because I know that’s what the call is” I am shocked at this point. The teenage girls mother comes in and demands to talk to a manger and I don’t blame her because she was out of line. When they were done, I attempted to explain I waited for over an hour for my Uber order, she interrupts me , which doesn’t surprise me and huffs what’s the name on the order.... I give her my name and attempt to give my order. They said that my Uber order left about 15 minutes ago and I had to call and see where it was. Well I did that and Uber had no record of it because I canceled it. (Uber was not at fault through any of this. IHOP never confirmed the order they just processed it and left it on processing. Uber was pleasant to talk to both times) After going through all this mess at the restaurant they FINALLY took my order at about 9:15 but TONYA could not even get the pancake combo my husband wanted right. She said we only have it on the kids meal and I said politely that his order is more expensive than mine I don’t believe it’s a kid meal if it is, that’s kind of expensive. Then I believe another waitress named Sarah opened the menu and showed TONYA the very first pancake combo and it was the one we wanted. She huffed and was like let me try to get this Keyed in and we’ll see. It’s now 9:43 and I finally have my food and I’m finally going home to fix this pregnancy craving I had for a waffle.
I normally don’t write reviews but after tonight I will never be back to this restaurant, ever. If I was a manager at this location, Ms. TONYA would NOT be working for me. I get it. Life is tough and some nights are bad. I’ve been in customer service many many years and that was truly unacceptable. I don’t care how old you are, If you don’t like your job you need to find a new one and if you chose to act like that to paying customers, YOU NEED...

This morning, December 31st, my husband, daughter, and I visited an IHOP restaurant. My husband and I don’t speak English, and while our daughter isn’t fluent, she can manage. She has always loved IHOP’s food, and today’s meal was no exception—it was delicious.
However, while we were eating, a cockroach suddenly crawled across the table and moved between the plates. My daughter saw it and panicked, jumping away in fright. In the commotion, some sauce spilled on her clothes. Shocked and disgusted, my daughter and I lost our appetite and decided we didn’t want to eat anymore. A staff member, a woman, came over and tried to catch the cockroach with a tissue, and my husband assisted her.
At that moment, I just wanted to leave, and I didn’t feel we should pay for the meal. However, my husband told us, “If we let this go today, we can all stay happy and welcome 2025 with a good heart. Let’s just be understanding.” Out of respect for his words, we stayed and tried to finish our meal. My husband even forced himself to enjoy the remaining food, trying to lighten the mood.
Despite my initial negative feelings, the actions of our server completely changed my perspective. She repeatedly checked on us with genuine concern and offered comforting words. A male manager also approached and offered to remake any dishes we wanted, though I no longer felt like eating. My husband, trying to improve the situation, accepted one new dish.
When we later asked for the check, our server came to us, sincerely apologizing for what had happened. She explained that while it wasn’t the restaurant’s policy to waive the bill, she personally gave us a discount as a gesture of her regret. Her words and actions truly touched us.
As someone who studied distribution and marketing in Korea, I want to say this: IHOP should be proud to have such a trustworthy and compassionate employee. Although we encountered an unpleasant experience today, this remarkable staff member turned it into something meaningful for us.
As we left, we prayed for her. May 2025 bring her more joy than challenges, and may her smile and words continue to comfort others just as...
Read moreMy family and I love IHOP, it’s one of our all time favorite breakfast places. We have yet to find many that wasn’t very appealing. My husband and I stopped in here and ate, the soda didn’t taste well at all. I’m one who usually has my picks and that’s what I stick with. So I had my New York cheesecake pancakes. They were okay to eat to the empty belly, but they were the worst pancakes I’ve ever had. My husband had the endless pancakes and he literally fell asleep waiting on his next order to come out. The new gentlemen on the floor who was still in training was really good, he was trying very hard to get it all down and he was on top of everything. He had our table busted before we even got our check. He even brought us to go drinks complimentary without us asking. We appreciated that. Our actual server, she was an older lady. At first I thought she was gonna be great, but as time went on and our wait for our drinks got longer I changed my mind. She I think had been working here for a while, she came off as the one who felt like her seniority give her the upper hand. You could catch the vibe that the other workers didn’t care for her because she seemed to be set in her ways and be a bit bossy. Almost like she tried to hard instead of making us feel comfortable and enjoying of our time. As always we tipped her and carried on with our way back to our motel. But even though I had free pancakes at my next visit by completely the survey on our recite we wasn’t going to be going back. The gentleman whom was in training was the only reason I give...
