Tried Colombian food for the first time, and it was definitely an experience! Walked in for dinner and immediately felt like we had stepped into a Latin American club—vibrant lights, high-energy music, and a lively atmosphere. Not your typical restaurant vibe, but definitely fun!
Our server was super sweet, though English wasn’t her strong suit. Still, we made it work, and she made us feel welcome. Most of us went for Colombia’s national dish, but I opted for ceviche, while my friend went all in with a whole fried tilapia. And let me tell you, that fish stole the show! Crispy, flavorful, though I did wish for a bit more seasoning. The ceviche was light and fresh, though I don’t have much to compare it to. It came without sides, so I ordered fries, but they needed a little more punch in the seasoning department.
Tasted a bit of everything from the table, and the national dish was the most exciting—arepa, beans, meat, the whole deal. The fried pork, however, was a bit too fried for my taste (definitely on the harder side).
We wrapped things up with flan, and that was the highlight! Smooth, perfectly sweet (a moderate one) and just the right finish...
Read moreMy experience there was terrible. I ordered a Bandeja paisa to go. I pick up the order and when i get to the car i open it and it doesn't have Chorizo . I called AND they told me it was 3 dólares more . The plate already cost me $19.00 AND with no chorizo . On top of that they charge me almost 3 dollares of tip when i didn't even eat there. I Guess they charge $3 dollars to put a to go plate in a bag. Wow! What a rip-off. When i called i also ask why they charge me tip on a to go order and they stated everyone Is doing it. I told them that was a lie because there are several other columbian restaurante in the área that charge less for that same plate AND dont charge extra for the chorizo. I will never go there again unless I want to get rip-off! "Sabor latino" and "Arepas deliciosas" are restaurantes that have the bandeja paisa cheaper and its better tasting food. Also they wont charge you tip on a...
Read moreGood News: Takeout was pretty good, security at the door was cool, interior design was great!
Bad News: Servers speak very little English, went in for a takeout order, was seated at a table instead, had to ask for water, never offered any chips & salsa while waiting, did not get any complimentary chips & salsa as part of the to-go order.
Overall: Great atmosphere to have drinks and enjoy good music at the end of a bar hopping night. Servers were not interested in customers with food-only orders. This explains why security was carding at the door. Food had good flavor and seasoning. However, the portion size and complimentary extras could have been better for a $50+ to-go ticket. Not to mention a substantial tip, even though there was very little effort to please the customer with service (the server sat a few tables away on his phone while vaping within the establishment, until the...
