If you plan to book a birthday party here…..DON’T!!!! The positive is that it is a really nice place for kids of all ages to come and have fun. There is something for everyone to do. But the negative is the website is extremely misleading. You book a party and it comes with 2 pizzas and your choice of juice and water. You would think that the pizzas are made in house at something similar to a concession stand but no they ordered two large pizzas from freaking Dominos and give you one box of capri suns!!! The space is reserved for two hours and with the kids running around and getting hot and thirsty they are literally only given 1 capri sun each! There’s not even a water fountain and a bottle of water was $2.50 each. You can’t even buy another box of capri suns instead they charge you $1.75 PER capris sun which means I had to pay $20 for 1 more box of capri suns. It is not stated online nor did anybody call to tell me that I could bring my own food and/or drinks and honestly had I known that would’ve been exactly what I did. The only time I received a call was to ask what color table cloth and pizza I wanted and even then the girl on the phone did not let me know anything about it how the birthday party’s work. After we arrived my “hostess” was barely with us as she was working another party AND cashier so as my kids started to arrive I had to hunt her down so that she could check the kids in and give them socks. There were so many workers (teenagers) just standing around that I’m not even sure why she had to do so much. I’m not against teenagers having jobs at places like this at all but I didn’t see one adult working. They didn’t even provide full size plates, just the small dessert plates. My husband went to buy game cards for the kids as they are not included and they are supposed to come with a discount after you buy so many and nobody at the register knew how to do it. You would be better off just bringing your own pizzas and drinks and paying for each kid individually and setting up at a table than you would booking a party through them. It would be easier AND cheaper!!!! The facility itself is fun for the kids but I was highly disappointed with how everything went as far as booking a party directly through them.
Edited to add that one of our party goers tested positive for Hands Foot and Mouth Disease after visiting this...
Read moreI'm thrilled to have this amazing play center in Memphis! Although I wish it were located in Collierville or Germantown, but each time we went the friendly staff made up for it. Every employee was sweet and patient with the children.
The play center offers a variety of fun slides and multiple ball pits, keeping our 7-year-old thoroughly entertained. One thing to note is that they don't serve food, but the owner graciously allowed us to leave and return with food from a nearby restaurant or fast food joint. You can also bring your own snacks and meals from home and a birthday cake! Tips for parents if you're going to play:
Bring a refillable tumbler with ice and water to keep your little ones hydrated. Wear comfortable clothing, like sweatpants or leggings. Bring a fanny pack to carry essentials if you're going with your child because they don't have a locker, just a cubby and also bring a backpack to pack drinks and snacks.
A few suggestions for improvement:
Sanitization: I hope the staff has a plan in place to regularly sanitize the play equipment and facilities. Bathroom amenities: It would be great if all the bathroom stalls were stocked with toilet paper. I went twice and only one stall had one toilet paper.
Overall, we had an amazing time and can't...
Read moreSo this is coming from someone who’s pretty picky — honestly, this place isn’t bad at all! We had my daughter’s 4th birthday party here. I originally wanted a private room, but they were already booked for the times we needed, so we settled for a table.
I came to check the place out beforehand and everything looked fine, so I booked it. Of course, right after booking, I started seeing negative reviews (literally posted after I paid). Even a friend called after seeing the invite to warn me about bad experiences, so I was skeptical and considered canceling a few times. But my daughter really wanted it, and we’d already spent the money.
I’m glad we went through with it — overall, it was a good experience! Our host was super nice and helpful, though I didn’t love that we had to track her down every time new guests arrived. The pizza took a while to come out, but they let you bring your own food, so we had wings, extra pizzas, drinks, and water ready.
There was no weird smell (like some reviews mentioned), and the kids had an absolute blast! There’s a lot to do, and it’s definitely on par with what I’d expect from a kid’s party place.
Overall, I’d give it a solid 7.5/10 — a fun spot for a birthday...
