Ordered over the phone a glass closet door to replace the door that broke easily while installing. Online delivery updates ended after initial do date had passed. Called ahead to let them know that I had closed out the credit card that was used for the purchase. Oh we never need that even though the person that took your order told you that you needed it. At arrival I was told to take my credit card to check in at a kiosk. Then we were directed to go to the back for pick up. Called the number and supplied the order # twice. 5 groups that arrived after were helped 1st by the only person working that area at the time. Finally he brings the doors out with one broken. I talked the manager into allowing me to take them and return the 2 broken ones since they didn't bother to let me know that it was broken when I called to verify that it had arrived. Next we were stopped at the gate for not having a receipt that I asked for at the front and at pick up. Sent back to the front were I waited for a manager to get the receipt which was across the front of the store in her office. I followed her and she marked it defective will be returning. Came back in 2 hours. Same guy that skipped me in line 5 times answers the phone and hangs up with me in full view through the windows. I walk in after waiting 15 minutes for him to come get the doors. He tells me that it was someone else that answered the phone even though I saw him and recognized his voice. We again get stopped at the gate because they forgot to stamp the return receipt. Back to the front for more fun. Cashier wanted to charge a restocking fee. Um NO! She calls the manager again. I said I will go shop while you figure it out. The manager from before finds me and gives me the gift certificate. This is woman that said nothing earlier now says that I need to wear an ineffective mask for the common cold. OK you can finish getting one more item. Buuuuuut, if my GM sees you he will ask you to leave. ON my way to the checkout here comes a clown with his nose out of his mask. Telling me that I have to buy a mask before checking out. I said that won't be happening. He said I can make my purchases online. I said with the gift certificate? Oh no. Save your time and aggravation and avoid this clown show like the plague. 90% of my purchases from here have been regretful....
Read moreTwo different transactions both terrible experiences. Placed an order for a water heater online, stated was in stock and available. Ordered, paid, not a problem, shipping was said to be within 5 days. Update, the item was not in stock, this was not an item the store even carried and needed to be ordered from a secondary company, once we finally got answers from Menards on the ridiculous delay, the other company actually said they didn't know why Menards even sold this item to us. Well, about 8 weeks later our hot water tank finally showed up. This week, we ordered an outdoor awning, picked it up, set it up, drilled holes in to our house, attached it, began to open it and noticed a large dent and crease in the frame, once the awning was opened completely the material was actually torn the length of the awning from rubbing on the dent. Called customer service, they said no more in stock, called other locations, only location with any is in Colorado and shipping is to expensive to get it to Ohio, so we can A. Keep the damaged, torn awning or B. Return it and receive nothing in its place and now just have holes in our house. Not another brand, or model, not a refund and keep it, not to ship the other one from Colorado to us on them. You can't tell me they had no idea this item was returned as damaged and they turned around & sold it to us as new! They offered us nothing but well, sorry,...
Read moreThis is by far the worst Menards if I could give it negative stars I would, extremely poor customer service! I’ve been here several times and there is always some sort of issue. The place items in the wrong spots on the shelf you get up to the register and they will not honor the price shown which is false advertising they are trying to scam you without you acknowledging so pay very close attention to what your getting and how much the items actually are listed for on their shelf. This has happened several times, another time I was at the store I didn’t grab my receipt which they place at the end of the conveyor belt hoping you forget to grab it because of the “11% rebate” before I even walked out of the door I turned around to go back for my receipt they refused to give it to me and refused to print another one I was the only customer checking out at this time I have never once in my life come across a scenario like this just another one of their scams. I would avoid this store at all measures, there is a Home Depot across the street and a Lowe’s within a few . Don’t waste your time or put yourself through the same hassle I’ve went through with this store several times, there will eventually be a lawsuit against Menards for doing the same exact thing dollar general did for all those years! False pricing on shelves hoping consumers don’t notice. It’ll catch up to you...
