A friend recommended Haymaker Toys & Collectibles to me based on my appreciation for nerdy interests. I’ve been a fan of Batman and Star Wars forever and within the last few years, I have become a Lego collector. I’m really glad he recommended the store as I was impressed with both Star Wars & Batman gear for sale. I snatched up a replica of a prop used from the ‘89 Batman movie that I didn’t know existed! I was really surprised by how much stuff Jeff, the owner, had packed into his brick and mortar storefront. Games, puzzles, toys, comics, and more are on site and available for immediate purchase. Jeff was built for this kind of business. He’s pleasant to talk to, incredibly knowledgeable of all the merchandise, and has the energy of an 8 year old when talking about the industry (which l could identify with). Loved the store! Popped in briefly and was blown away by the overall selection. Honestly didn't even know where to start. So many fond memories and nostalgia available. I don't do much toy collecting anymore but who knows, maybe I'll get back into it? Met the owner briefly and had a conversation about my personal collection, Savage Dragon from Image, and not only was he aware of the character, which is rare in its own right, he collected him too! There were a ton of comics that I would love to flip through when I have some time but this quick 10 minute trip already had me wanting to go back immediately. This shop is packed with so much merchandise to inspect! At the holidays I was buying my adult son some action figures to add to his collection. When I showed the shop owner a picture of my son's collection, he was able to show me the correct scale and collection to look at. He was right! My son loved his gift.
