NO STARS! I cannot express this enough! If I had the option to pick zero stars, I would. How is this place still running? Upon check-in, the host tells my partner that we’re in a smoking room -mind you, the entire motel states it’s non-smoking online and it’s plastered all over their walls and building that it is non-smoking. Then she goes onto say, the whole place smells like weed because they can’t stop people from smoking weed in the rooms? Well, okay… Then it’s stated that they don’t have room attendants to clean the rooms so the maintenance guy was doing it.
We get our keys, get parked, grab our stuff, and open the door to go up to our room… we’re hit with the smell of smoke. No, not the smell of weed, with the overwhelming smell of CIGARETTE smoke. We go upstairs and our breath is quite literally being taken away from us with this smell. We are, however, stuck. They don’t refund. We open the window to air it out and hope the fan helps. Nope, the fan just increased the smell. So, we sleep in the heat because why suffocate ourselves? Keep in mind, we also have an 8 month old with us and drove from the other side of the US. We’re just tired and desperate for rest.
The carpet has basically an oil residue from years and years of cigarette buildup. I did not let my child on the floor. The ceiling is disgusting and yellow with nasty fuzz hanging from it.
If you have a family and want to be able to breathe, don’t stay here!!!!
This place doesn’t operate appropriately. Health authorities should shut it down. We’re being charged over $100 for a room. That should earn some level of cleanliness that isn’t hazardous to our health. I hope Wyndham gets a lawsuit from someone staying here because dang, do they deserve it for letting a place operate at such a horrible level. No person, regardless of how much they pay, should have to stay, even a night in a motel so nasty. These 3+ star reviews are blowing smoke up your a—....
Read moreMy husband and I have stayed here many times and each time the experience is always tarnished by the owners. We have spent a lot of money with this location over the last couple years and the way we get treated is just completely unprofessional Everytime we make a reservation there (and the reservations are always at least more than two or three days) but this last visit was by far the worst experience we have ever had. The woman owner has absolutely the worst and nastiest attitude anyone could ever have. Anytime we would call the front desk we would be in the middle of speaking and we would get hung up on I also had two visitors stop by for a little bit because I haven't seen them in a long time and we got told that we had to pay an extra $20 per person when I stated that these people were not going to be staying the night she argued with me that they were I simply asked "I'm not allowed to have visitors?" and her response was "no" "you can pay the $20 or you can leave" Fast forward to the next morning my husband is a type 2 diabetic who is going through a lot of medical issues at the moment so I was up rather relate taking care of him making sure he was okay which in turn I slept past the checkout time and instead of calling the room we get a bang at the door and then lady tries to enter our room. When I went to the door and said we were going to be rebooking she gave me a nasty tone and said I need to go downstairs now and pay when I said "you don't need to be so rude" she responded with "well you should obey the check out policy" mind you we have been at the hotel for about 3 days now. Only reason I even gave them one star is because I had to in...
Read moreI’ve stayed at super 8 multiple times, with my partner, and every experience has been amazing! Staff are extremely friendly and I feel comfortable with them. When I needed extra nights last minute; they kindly helped me, and despite complications, they ensured I got my extra night. Area itself is AMAZING; close drive to cleveland, even ubering isn’t too expensive depending on the time of day. Gas stations are right across the street for small snacks or meals, rollhouse entertainment is literally a parking lot away. Bed is comfortable, but blanket is thin and tough. I’d recommend bringing your own small blanket if you want to be completely comfortable.
For any cons, yes it has a distinct smell — but I got used to it. In my opinion, it’s not anything major or disgusting; its just a unique smell. Breakfast isn’t super fancy, and they normally just have big texas cinnamon rolls and juices, but they have vending machines too. In my few experiences with super 8, I’ve seen a few bugs. One on the pillow, a small roach in my rooms coffee machine, a fly, a little bug on the window. The bug in the coffee machine was pretty disgusting, and I personally do not drink coffee, so I asked my boyfriend to kill it and we moved on. But to other people, be wary to check your bed and coffee. The biggest con is the cost has gone up a bit!
In conclusion, I think super 8 is a very nice hotel. Yes there are flaws, but you get what you pay for, and the conditions aren’t bad enough where I couldn’t stand it. It’s just a basic, cheap hotel. I overall have a super positive experience with this hotel and would, and have, recommended it to my friends. Thank you to super 8 for a nice...
