We wanted an artificial flower centerpiece for our dining room table. Lindsey at Forget Me Not Flowers in North Haven referred us to Rose Flowers in Meriden for an artificial arrangement. We were told to ask for Sam. We showed Sam a vase of artificial flowers that we had when we arrived at her store. We were hoping to match the new arrangement to that one. Sam showed us a selection of flowers and one of them closely matched our arrangement. The price was very fair. The date it would be ready was approximately 5-6 days later. About 45 minutes later Sam called us and stated that the arrangement was completed. We couldn't believe it! We headed back to the store and Sam brought it out to our car. It looked better than we imagined it could be! We want to thank Sam and Rose Flowers for a "job well done". Sam is an experienced and talented florist who exemplified a caring attitude and willingness to satisfy her customer. I have been a customer at Rose's since moving to Meriden just over a year ago. I'm not sure what happened with the situation Doreen describes below but I can tell you that the old owners are still working for the new owner so the change of ownership probably has nothing to do with whatever happened. If she had read the article in the Record Journal, or been to the shop, she would know that. The new owner (Nicole) is very nice, experienced and super helpful. The flowers are always amazing and last a long time. Further, the showroom looks great since the change of ownership. It's been painted and remodeled. It is bright, open, clean and has some really nice gifts for sale now. Also, the new front window displays have been really beautiful to see when driving thru the area since the change. We had Rose Flowers and Gifts provide flowers for our wedding and they were AMAZING! From the first meeting, Sam was so organized, professional and thorough, and helped to bring our vision to life. She even made a last minute change to one of the corsages which was greatly appreciated. I loved my bouquet, the floral arrangements at the church and the centerpieces! They were so much fuller than I thought and created the garden wedding look we were going for! Also we liked being able to rent the candles for each centerpiece (they made it so easy to do so).
