Before visiting this location yesterday, I have had JPG Le Male Elixir in my cart online for about a week. I decided to visit in-store in hopes to purchase the cologne in person instead. When I arrived, I quickly noticed the selection was pretty bare, as expected because of the holidays. I did see a bottle of the exact cologne I was looking for behind the counter. I figured they were sold out, but I was happy to at least be able to smell the fragrance for the first time. I waited about ten minutes as the associate was helping other customers, none of which who bought anything. (He must be a great salesman!) Once he was done, he made his way over to me, and I was ready to be helped quickly! He greeted me with a stoic face and said, “Need somethin’?” I explained that I would like to smell one of the fragrances behind the counter to which he responded sharply, “None of the fragrances we sell are over here. They are over there.” He pointed to another one of the kiosks that had a very small amount of overused fragrances. I told him that I noticed a bottle of the cologne I was planning on ordering, and I would like to at least smell it before buying. He seemed caught off guard, and I’m sure he didn’t even realize the bottle was over there. He stuttered, “We…don’t let customers test scents…we don’t sell.” The statement seemed quite fabricated. I told him thanks for the help and walked away. What a guy and business! Not only did one single man lose a sale, he also lost a customer for life. I would suggest he improve his customer service etiquette. Maybe then I will choose to take my business here again....
Read moreHello, This is Chris, a reoccurring customer at the macys stores, Macys is my number one store, me and my whole family shop there. Just alone I spend about 8k a year there, most of the times i go there’s great customer service and everyone is super friendly. Today I went to the Macys store (1982 W Grand River Rd Ste 100, Okemos, MI 48864) to return a coat which i bought about 2 weeks ago, It was my bad that I lost the receipt, and the item didn’t have it’s tag, so that makes the return process hard and sometimes un-do-able which i’m completely fine with and I understand, I just went to try and wasn’t expecting them to return it. One of the managers name ( Je*er) came and talked to me and she was very rude and disrespectful towards me for no apparent reason. I was telling her how i was ok with it and there wasn’t a problem she said I don’t care if you are a customer and how long you’re customer and how much you spent in my store! Which make me a very disappointing I wasn’t expecting this from a big company like Macy’s ! After that she was following me around the store the whole time i was there which made me feel very unsafe. People like these harm the reputation of...
Read moreI love Macy's even though I have known it under multiple names over the years. I still call it Hudson's sometimes. They just closed their only other location in this area at the Lansing Mall, but kept the one in the Meridian Mall in Okemos. I don't think I was the person that was gobsmacked when they closed the Lansing Mall store. It was so convenient to have a Macy's on opposite ends of the Lansing area and I still have to remind myself that the only store left is in Okemos. That being said, they do an excellent job of ordering & shipping your items if they don't have your size, color, quantity, etc. It seems all stores fall back on online ordering when they fail to carry a full range of sizes, colors, and enough of anything. I would probably categorize Macy's as an upscale store for this area. It is somewhat expensive, but carries high end name brands, and their sales are always worth checking out. Macy's is always my first stop for gifts for any occasion. And, a Macy's gift card is always a pleasure to receive. I am just hoping they don't close their only store here because you still need to see the things you want to buy - especially if...
