Office Depot — Local services in Meridian

It was a very odd experience. I entered in search of gift cards that Lowe's and Walmart didn't have. I came across a young man behind the counter wearing a large coat and obviously looked like he didn't want to be there. I get it. It's the holidays. We'd all rather be somewhere else. I said hello and asked him for the gift card section. He didn't speak one word to me. He came from behind the counter and walked me over to the gift cards. I said thank you and still no reply, no smile, nothing. No one was at the registers. Honestly, I think I was the only customer at the time. I went over to the print area. There were two, female employees. Once again, no greeting, no smile. They were speaking to one another while I stood there waiting for a moment. One rang up the other's soda. Finally, I was rang up. The only words that were spoken to me was asking me how I wanted my receipt? I was helped. I was waited on, but I was given the silent treatment with no enthusiasm whatsoever. I think the only reason they received a 3 star is because they had my gift cards that the other major stores didn't have on...

Went into the store on Saturday around 1 pm on 10/23/21 for a simple print job (5 5x7 prints on glossy cardstock) I know it’s simple because I worked in copy & print for 2 years. A lady was ahead of me, a & another lady was being serviced and left. Only one employee behind the counter and she never acknowledged me, she could’ve simply asked how could she help me or what I needed & I would have told her what I emailed to her & she would’ve understood how simple it was and at the very least offered some type of time frame of how long that will take because I do understand how it is in Copy & Print. 01/07/2025 Lazy, Lazy, Lazy! I walked in the store at 5:50pm Tried to self serve myself on the copy machine. Kinda realized that I could not do what I needed to do from my phone. Walked over to the girl that was standings behind the print counter who was playing on her phone, drinking her coke. I said hey you look bored, thinking maybe she would want to help…. I was wrong! I told her I was trying to print a booklet on the self service but it wouldn’t allow me, she says, “ yea, you can’t print that from there” then looks at her phone as says, “we’re closed here. I’m just standing right here. We close at 6pm.” 😐 it was 6:01 when I looked at my phone as she was saying that! Smh. Terrible...
