Western Sizzlin Wood Grill — Restaurant in Meridian

If it would allow me to leave 0 stars that’s what i would’ve left. They are forcing me to give them one star! The food was cold and not fresh at all! All of the side items on the salad bar ( beets, pickles , black olives etc.) had been “washed” and juices were replaced with water. the wait staff wasn’t very friendly except the lady working the register and a gentleman that was working in the kitchen. He helped me more than my waitress! I believe he might have been the dishwasher. I walked in the ladies room and walked back out due to wet tissue all around the commodes Aneurin all over the seats. I walked back out and waited till I left and went to the gas station down the street! The questions on the booths were torn and the seats at the front door that they offered for you to sit in while you waited for your table if it was busy we’re all torn and not just a little bit. The carpets for nasty And yet everybody was gathered around the front cashier like they had nothing else to do. They weren’t packed but they had a fair amount of customers So I would have to wait guess They feel since There are customers that there’s no need to do any kind of repairs or make more welcoming and warm. 100% disappointed and as we were leaving we were discouraging people from...

I very seldom leave bad reviews. A lot of times, when you go to a restaurant, it's really a matter of personal taste. But I'm taking a moment to warn people away from the Western sizzlin wood grill. I say with no hyperbole that it was truly one of the worst experiences with restaurant food that I have ever had. Quite simply, nothing was good. I tried fish, chicken, beef, all bad like it was cooked in very old oil. Baked items were very stale and hard. Vegs were tolerable at best. Frankly, The only thing I didn't have a negative experience there with was the machine made ice cream cone. Pretty pathetic. The staff was generally friendly. But I felt sorry for them working in such a horrible location. Things are very worn and seemingly neglected, such as tears in the seating upholstery, broken fixtures, dirty walls, and peeling paint. I walked away shaking my head in disbelief in how bad food could really be. And none of the rest of it was enough to make up for it. I wouldn't eat here again if I had not eaten for 3 days. This restaurant is always great. The steaks can't be beat in taste or price by anyone I know. The buffet has a wide selection of foods. Several entrees, a wide selection of vegetables and a very well stocked salad bar. The staff keeps the buffet clean, stocked and appetizing. There is fresh baked breads, fresh fruits, and fruit salads always available. There are a variety of cakes, pies, puddings, cobblers and icecream to complete your meal. The service is always fast and efficient. The food is always cooked to please the customer. The staff is very pleasant. The prices are lower than most others I've visited locally. The quality of the food is top notch. For a pleasant, relaxing, and enjoyable meal, I would recommend Western Sizzling for any occasion, for anybody that wants to enjoy a quality meal in a good atmosphere with a pleasant staff thatki is waiting to serve your needs. My family goes to Western Sizzling regularly. I hope this restaurant is always going to be here in Meridian. You can dress casually and have a relaxing meal for a quality...
