I went in to look for some shoes and found a pair that I really liked and there was only one pair. They were about $15 more than the price on their own website. I mentioned this to someone and they told me that I could order a pair online and have it shipped for free to the store. I told the sales clerk I didn't live in the area and that wouldn't work very well for me. No response. I wait until I go to the cash register and asked the very slow sales clerk the same question. Since the website price was about $15 cheaper that's quite a bit and she said well the item number doesn't match. Since there might not be much stock in their warehouse I decided to bite the bullet and just buy the pair at the store. To me this is just poor customer service and I won't be back. Plenty of other stores match their lower prices on their websites without any argument about it. To me it doesn't build a lot of customer loyalty and it seems like a customer service manager should be able to override that, as have too many other stores like Target. I realize they're not as big as some of these other larger corporations but still, in times the way they are today it's good to keep your customers coming back. Next time I'll go in and try something on there and go online and buy it through another Corporation. This is the death of customer...
Read moreI’m very disappointed in store “30” in meridian Idaho. I went in today as they are having a sale and moving locations. I’ve had great shopping experiences in the past and it’s a “go to” store for me. Today I went in and was very disappointed in my experience to the point I left in tears. I’m wearing a tank top and shorts as it’s warm outside today and upon walking in could overhear the cash register males making comment about me looking “easy” like a “slut” and other derogatory comments. I could clearly overhear them isles away, meaning others in the store could too. Extremely embarrassed and distraught I left the store. I’m not someone to dress immodest or “out there”. Simply a tank top and shorts got this type of reaction. I feel disgusted and ashamed. I shouldn’t feel this way from shopping in a store. Jacob and Jackson in meridian Idaho, I heard you. As well as others. This is...
Read moreUnbelievable customer service! I decided to purchase new hiking boots for my birthday this year. Purchased Alico $374 boots for $211; thought it was a great deal. When I got home I found an online price for $111. Store manager refunded the difference back to me over the phone. Then he did me one better, he pulled a second pair of Alicos off the shelf that I had wanted and held them for me. They were originally $317, purchased for $125. Two pairs for a total of $266.
It will take time to break in these all leather Italian Alico boots, however I am reading on line that people are getting ten thousand miles a pair out of their boots and then re-treading. By rotating these boots with the others I own I am planning to stay in top shape in hopes of making a thru hike...
