I used to love this place. I would come every Saturday with my kid after work. Unfortunately they changed their hours to open at 11am. I get it, a business needs to do what they need to do, I respect that. However the last two times I have shown up, even if 1 minute early they won't open the doors. Today my watch said 11am and I tapped on the door, the guy through his hands up in anger pointing to the sign. I said my watch says 11am (Samsung galaxy watch), he opens the door and says "my phone says 10:58 am". Really? 2 minutes, maybe your phone is wrong, I appreciate my watch could be wrong too, but really less than 2 minutes.
I then said "fine I just won't come here and go elsewhere". He then all of a sudden said Ok you can come in, but I said forget it, you lost a customer and walked away. I get kids are cheap to employee and probably are more familiar with the products than adults, but when they care so little about your business that they would not open a door 1.5 minutes for a customer standing in 100 degree heat, you clearly don't care about customers. Hopefully the manager sees this and will make some changes. I would have put 1 star, but my interaction with some of the people who have been there in the past has been great so I don't think that is fair, but that specific interaction today was 1 star worthy. The prior guy would open the door if customers were waiting, even if it was an extra...
Read moreCalled this location thinking it was the Tempe location (both locations are on Southern) and when a woman answered, she never clarified the location at which she was speaking from. I reserved a used copy of Diablo III expecting it to be at Southern and McClintock, not Southern and Val Vista. I had to drive an extra ten miles out of my way unexpectedly and called ahead to reconfirm my copy was on hold, and that I was on my way. Upon my arrival the woman I spoke with on the phone did not acknowledge me after not only dealing with another guest first but then talking shop with a coworker until I finally approached them myself. I wanted to be polite and wait until their conversation had concluded, but I had already wasted enough of my time and they had no problem with wasting even more of it. Never shopping at Fallout Games again. Even though the McClintock location did nothing wrong, that location should be the only one on Southern. Or at least show up first if it's the location closest to me. OR at least call the Tempe location the McClintock store and the Mesa location the Val Vista store, instead of calling them both the Southern store. I will only buy from Desert Sky Games and 1-Up Games from now on. That lady probably doesn't even care that she wasted...
Read moreCame here for a dual shock 3 controller for my old ps3. The first one I bought worked but would randomly select dpad buttons mid game. So I came back for a replacement and that one was worse. Analog stick just randomly selecting and scrolling. I went back to the store again and they tested 4 more in front of me all with issues (pretty typical for controllers that old so I wasn’t really mad)
The best part was the way they fixed it. I asked if they had any third party controllers and to my luck they did. They had one shaped like a ps5 controller which I was more used to and swapped it out for my DualShock and let me pick 2 games since the aftermarket’s are priced slightly cheaper.. I don’t recall names but the guy with the long hair and the girl with red hair where super nice and patient with me through the hunting down a controller process. Thank you so much guys!!
This was awesome to me. I’m currently moving and needed to sell my ps5 for the extra cash and am playing on my ps3 again for my gaming. Now I have a controller, multiple games (I might have bought a couple also lol) and my best friend is gunna get his ps3 back out so we can play borderlands and call of duty together!!
Feels like 2014 all...
