I always forget about this place until I drive-by and I'm so glad I did today. We don't live far so I just need to make more of an effort because their breads and baked goods are so delicious. I went in for sourdough bread and it's very reasonably priced. I stopped and saw they had Danish type pastries so I picked up a cherry pastry and apple turnover. Both of course were divine. I did hover around the pies but they we're out of the small individual size fruit pies for my father-in-law for Father's Day. But their rolls, scones, cinnamon rolls, muffins and quite literally everything in that shop is so good (I've tried them all) and priced very reasonably. It's an open concept so you can watch them hand make everything in the store through the ovens which just gives the extra element of "made with love". Only downfall every time is they do not usually have a designated cash register person. Their all hands on deck baking and when they see you at the register it's like you gotta beg one to stop and help you. Their not rude or anything, just very?? Maybe overworked? Understaffed? I don't know, but I also like their...

Horrible service. I called ahead and ordered a pie for the holiday immediately got in my vehicle and drove across town to pick it up only to be told by some girl at the counter - who wasn’t wearing a mask at a food establishment during a pandemic - that she just sold the pie I had come across town for AND had offered to pay for before leaving my house. I have been coming to this bakery for years, however, the customer service has taken a steady decline. I see tons of bad reviews, all complaining about customer service online. I’m not sure if this is a nepotism issue or why the owner continues to employee these people who are running customers out the door faster than the owner can generate business, but these kids at the front counter are going to run this place out of business. I get coupon texts from the place religiously and after this experience, you couldn’t give me a...

I loved this place and was a frequent shopper when they opened back in the 90’s. I don’t live in the area but everytime I am in the area I stop by for some bread and treats.

BEWARE-UNSANITARY CONDITIONS

When I went today (May ā€˜24) I asked for a loaf of sourdough bread because there were none on the shelf. The lady at the register was kind and said they had some they could slice up for me! All was great but before slicing I paid cash which she handled and gave me my change, she moved her hair out of her face, she answered the phone and walked outside pushing the door open to read the sandwich specials sign for the caller on the phone. All of this was done in the exact same gloves she grabbed my bread off the rack with, sliced it and bagged it! No change of gloves, sanitizer or anything!!!! My bread went straight to the trash...

Wish I could give ten stars! A friend dropped me at a fast food next door. After realizing that place had no "dine-in" options, I sauntered over to Whole Grain, where I was pleased to find they had a little deli. The service was mind blowing, how good it was. I was genuinely cared for. And the food was so fresh - I got a tuna sandwich and had to use a hook to get it into my mouth. Home made sourdough was delightful. Apparently most of the fresh made breads and desserts are gluten free, but taste better than anything I've had elsewhere. And the price ... I had to keep asking them if the charged me for the chips and beverage. Unbelievable this place doesn't have a line a mile long. Hopefully this review will help that happen. If so, it's well worth the wait! Come on down. You can't go wrong!

Bought a couple muffins and a pack of what they call ā€œbread bowls,ā€ which are basically giant dinner rolls. Took a bite out of the muffin and it left a trail of thin, sticky ā€œstringsā€ to my mouth. The threads were very small and delicate and tough to get a picture of, but I tried. It also had an unpleasant taste and aroma, which I unfortunately didn’t notice until I already had a mouthful. Sour, and sweet but not in a good way. I believe this is what bakers call ā€œrope spoilageā€ and is caused by bacterial contamination in the bread. The rolls would have been decent, except they tasted overwhelmingly of the plastic bag they came in. I tossed most of them out along with the muffin. Two stars because the person who rang up my order was very nice. I won’t be back.
