Great Clips — Local services in Mesa

We came in so my husband and sons could get a long-needed haircut due to COVID-19.

Unfortunately, two of the three (3) stylists were not friendly. They did not engage us in conversation. No "how are you today? How has your day been,?, etc" We sensed something was wrong but it wasn't until after his haircut that my husband explained he had a great talk with his stylist. I was surprised because my sons are 11 and 13 and they always talk with their stylists no matter where we go. There were crickets during their haircuts. I noticed one of the stylists engaged the next customer after my son in a loud, personal conversation. It was night and day treatment.

All I could figure is that my "2020 Biden" shirt had an effect. I live in a once heavily Republican state and now it's blue. I don't believe employees should treat anyone differently in a place of business. They should be professional but friendly. We were disappointed especially because this was our first visit and we hoped to keep it as our go-to place. We won't be returning to...

Wow, what an amazing experience every time i walk into this location since i fist came in here about a year ago and now I can’t go elsewhere because i got so used to this amazing place with the service and knowledge of Mandi wich is my hairstylist (artist) . Not only im getting a great haircut every time but the staff as well is amazing professional and friendly (Jenn) wich also is part of the staff and skilled hairstylist is all the time professional and friendly , it was probably the best hair cut I had since I moved from New York 8 years ago. Great Clips is a great place because experience hairstylist like Mandi amazing friendly knowledgeable and welcoming … super cool, super friendly and did a fantastic job! Mandi and her crew are amazing! They are always on point with their suggestions for products, and I always leave feeling much better with a solid haircut 🤘THANK YOU AND THIS PLACE IS I HIGHLY RECOMMEND...

I've never written a bad review, until now. I took my two year old in to get his haircut and before we even sat down, we were met with an attitude from the stylist about my son sitting in his moms lap. This isn't his first cut, but he doesn't want to sit by himself or be covered with an apron. While spraying water on his head, he would get startled, so the stylist would spray once, stop, and make some snide face about it. At this point, I wasn't going to continue to put up with the poor attitude and snide looks for the remainder of the haircut. We left immediately and went someplace else that had us in an out in 10 minutes with zero issues. To the stylist, if you don't want to cut children's hair, tell the parents and I'm sure they'll gladly wait for someone else with the patience to do their job. Needless to say, we will not be recommending or visiting this...
