I have done business with Spencers for new appliances and have been very happy with the experience, so when we needed a new second refrigerator the Outlet seemed like a good option. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I would not use the outlet again and advice any of you planning to do so to ask a bunch of questions before purchasing.
To keep this review as short as I can, we bought a refrigerator so that we could stock up on food in the middle of a pandemic. A few days after delivery, we noticed that the freezer wasn't working properly. They sent out a technician in a timely manner, who determined that the refrigerator needed to be replaced. They sent the replacement refrigerator and the freezer on that one didn't work properly, either. So they sent the technician back again. He installed a new motor but that didn't solve the problem. So we've now received two different refrigerators and the freezer didn't work properly in either.
The people at the outlet agreed to refund my money as soon as they came to pick up the second refrigerator. I asked that the salesman call me to discuss because I was in a situation where we really needed a refrigerator/freezer - we relied on the initial purchase and stocked up on food since grocery shopping is still hit-and-miss.
The salesman never got in touch with me.
In order to not have to coordinate delivery of a new fridge with pickup of the non-working one and to figure out what to do with all the food, etc., I called a Spencer's location to discuss purchasing a new refrigerator instead.
Almost three weeks into this saga, the new fridge was delivered. It works fine, we are happy with it.
Only the service technician offered any sort of an apology. Nobody else apologized for the inconvenience, especially during a pandemic, that this caused us. No discount on the new refrigerator was offered.
The rating is two stars because the service aspects, other than the salesman that didn't get back in touch with me, were good. But beware the "refurbished" description. After my experience, I don't think they do any quality control at all. If they had, there is no what I'd have...

Once they get your business, like a used car lot, customer service is nonexistent. They delivered my new fridge with a broken part but said theyâd come repair it - no thanks, I donât want a new-broken-repaired fridge. I paid thousands of dollars for a new one not a meet repaired one. Finally after arguing with me, I convinced them to bring me a different one that wasnât broken, and the installers were so so sloppy. They tore off plastic and left the remains in the cracks and creases of the fridge which is impossible to remove. So now my new fridge just has pink plastic stuck all over it. Looks so trashy. The delivery guys also left a huge mess of debris all over my kitchen, didnât bother to clean up, scratched my LVP floors and could not have cared less.
Worth mentioning since Iâm here, I also bought all new appliances from them and they delivered the hood vent screen dented and damaged. Said theyâd replace it. Never did. Never answered my calls about it so I gave up. That was 6 years ago and I still have this dented screen.
Also I bought a dryer from them that lasted less than 2 years before it broke. So yeah, never ever buying from Spencerâs again. Theyâre the absolute worst with customer service once they get your sale.

As far as Spencerâs we called yesterday and was given an appointment today for the swap. Yes a 24 hour turn around, like wow! Like completely and utterly amazing service from the company.
Clear and open communication from our rep Jenny, loved the accurate time stamps or arrival via text message also made the situation perfectly seem less.
Canât wait to purchase new appliances next year, this was beyond my expectations of care and support.

Not once did he ask or hint at a good review or ask how his service was, he did in fact ask if I had any more questions however. He truly should be valued to the utmost degree.
