Merry Main Street has so much to offer this season and I think it’s the perfect way to enjoy some holiday activities without going far. I find Downtown Mesa charming and I enjoy walking the quieter streets and enjoying the festivities! (Thanks to PHXkids contributor Lindsay for the review and videos!) This year, there are so many different events offeredincluding ice skating, holiday movies, visits with Santa, food truck festivals, the “Santa Express”, the Mesa Temple Lights, and more! All events are FREE unless otherwise noted. 🎄Winter Wonderland Ice Rink - Offered daily! 🎄 Monday to Friday from 5-10pm Saturday and Sunday from 12-10pm Sessions last one hour, and are $10 with skates included 🎄Holiday Movies at the Plaza🎄 Every Saturday at 5:30 December 2nd- 30th Movies: Elf, Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, The Polar Express in Spanish at 5:30 and English at 7:30, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Frozen . We arrived early for a skating session and had reserved spots. The ice looked awful - chunky with lots of knicks and scratches in it. You could tell it needed a zamboni to even it out. They emptied the ice of people and had a 10-15 break - but no zamboni appeared. The kids went on the ice anyway. Within a few minutes, one of my boys had fallen and hurt his wrist - tripped on the chunky ice. There were no helpers skating on the ice - so no one to help when someone falls. The helpers at the facility were notified - but it took quite a while for them to even find an ice pack for my sons swelling wrist. So sad that they don't have things needed for if there are accidents. It was also relayed to me that they rarely used the zamboni - even though they do have one. Apparently, even the manager there that night didn’t know how to use it. The accident report was filled out in pencil as they couldn't even find a pen. My advice - go to Polar Ice - although the atmosphere here is fun - it’s not worth the risk. I’m baffled that it even stays in...

I took 4 girls ages 11-13 for their 1st ice skating adventure tonight for the last 2fer Tuesday event of the year, $5 a person made this a killer deal! We had a wonderful time! Being the plastic ice of the 'portable' rink I felt it was easier to skate on then at fixed ice skating ring - it took my daughter 2-3 trips to (roller) Skateland before she could roller skate but tonight she was a natural on the ice! All 4 girls were for their 1st ever ice skating! Would recommend the full price days also as $10 a person for the 1hour & ice skate rental is definitely worth the experience! I thought only 2 things could have made it better - 1st if the 10mins it took to get correct size skate, then get them on & laced up would have not been counted within our 1 hour block, 2nd if they had bubble machines or snow machines in the corners of the rink to go off every so minutes would have added to the wonderland of it all! Tons of...

You must book your tickets in advance. With that being said there are no refunds because we booked our tickets for a day that we have other plans. But they let us change. I had to return one skate because it was very dull. The kids looked at me like I was stupid and asked rhetorically "they're dull?", but he gave me another. I'm from Connecticut and I'm French Canadian decent, I was given ice skates for my birthday when I was 6 (probley a later gift then other french Canadian children) , I might know a littlethough. The pain of the skates was unbearable, seems 2 other grown men experiencing the same problem. The skates push on the ankle bone on the inside. I recomend for children. They had...
