I was sooo glad someone bought this shopping plaza and added all new shops; The Bread and Honey House, Cicrino's Pizza, Fry Bread, Twisted Sugar (door locked, and QR code on the window doesn't work) and Paco's Tacos & Sip (nothing in this space yet... just the sign).
I went into The Bread and Honey House to get the Cicrino's Pizza (that's what the sign outside said to do). I ordered the Spicy Pepperoni pizza... Pepperoni's were huge, and the pizza had grilled corn and Serrano peppers. Super yummy. I not a fan of the super thin crust... but the overall taste was good. Loved the spicy bite! I had the yummiset horchata ever (a little pricey at $5.50). I then end, ordered the Nutella banana canzone. Man, it was HUGE! And came with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and cut strawberries for $11. I could taste the yummy Nutella, but not the bananas 😐 I asked the cute young could sitting next to me if I got it, if they would eat half of it... they obliged (I gave them 3/4 of this bad boy). I also asked them if they would be willing to do a review on their food/drinks. Again, they said yes. This was their first time here too! NOTE: They both came in with drinks from the "outside," oh no!!! One of the employees told them that they couldn't bring in outside drinks (even though they weren't alcoholic drinks, and they obviously planned to order food (spend money). I thought it was poor form.
The couple ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza, buffalo wings, lemon pepper wings, and, of course, 2 more drinks (some kind of cold expresso). Review, the cold expresso was weak, the wings had more meat on them than most places, but the buffalo sauce was non-distinctive. They both really liked the lemon pepper wings. They also thought the pepperoni pizza crust was good. They both liked the thin crust.
Service was spotty for a new place. Employees need to be more attentive and interact with guests more to see if they need anything. I had to stop an employee 3x to get additional service.
The atmosphere is nothing extraordinary, although very clean.
Cirino's Pizza had tables and chairs, but they weren't taking guests yet. My pizza and calzone ordering and eating was done from the Bread & Honey place (which looks very typical of a bakery style eatery that sells breakfast and lunch. Cozy for business lunches or to meet up with lunch friends. The place looks like it sells alcohol, margaritas, and custom expresso. I'll come back again...
Read moreWe celebrated my son's graduation by dining at The Bread and Honey House in Mesa, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Initially, I was concerned about accommodating our party of 11, but the staff welcomed us warmly and efficiently arranged seating in an adjacent area, ensuring our group stayed together.
The service was outstanding—friendly, patient, and attentive. They managed individual orders seamlessly while keeping us on a single tab.
The food surpassed our expectations. The burgers were sizable and cooked precisely to each person's preference, from medium rare to well done. The omelets, especially the Sunshine Omelet, were flavorful and satisfying. A thoughtful touch was offering the chicken on the side when I mentioned I didn't want it included.
A highlight was the horchata Flight, featuring four distinct flavors of horchata. The mocha horchata, infused with espresso, was a standout, though all were delightful. As a coffee enthusiast, I also appreciated their extensive coffee menu.
Portions were generous; none of the four men who ordered burgers could finish more than half. The staff promptly provided to-go boxes, emphasizing their commitment to customer satisfaction.
This family-run restaurant clearly values quality food and exceptional service. For a price comparable to fast food, you receive a memorable dining experience. I only wish it were closer to home, but we'll certainly return...
Read moreI had already tried a salad from here that was brought to me, and it was really good. However, this was my first time in the restaurant. The line was pretty long, which is a good thing. The menu is simple. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. My coworker had the buffalo chicken salad and said it was amazing. It certainly looked amazing. My fish sandwich was pretty good. For my liking, it needed more sauce. Was it the best fish sandwich I’ve ever eaten? Possibly. Their fries are as limp as a shoelace, which I don’t care for. I like thin, crispy fries. The best part about this place was the girl who worked the counter, answered the phone, bust the tables, seated guests, delivered the food, And made sure you had everything throughout the meal. Yes, this was one human doing all this. Given the lazy nature that has crept into the food industry, I’m going to guess that there were more people assigned to work this day, but they called in, faking sick. To my astonishment, this girl handled all of these tasks without a hiccup in service. I have no idea how she did it. Is it possible? She was also back there cooking the food? I certainly hope not. We felt so bad for the girl that, although we had already tipped when we ordered our food, we tipped her in cash, a second time, when I asked for more tartar sauce and she had it to me within 20 seconds while doing 100 other things. They should...
