Disappointed with Food Quality and Customer Service

We used to be regular customers here, frequently buying groceries, snacks, and food until the place came under new management.

After the change, we visited yesterday to pick up some groceries. While there, the staff enthusiastically recommended their new chef and insisted we try his biryani, claiming it was the best. Although we hadn’t planned to buy food, we decided to give it a shot and purchased two mutton biryanis for $25.

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. As soon as we opened the containers at home, the biryani had a strong, unpleasant smell. The mutton was spoiled and inedible, and the rice was overwhelmingly bitter due to excessive biryani essence. We tried to salvage it by eating just the meat, but even that was bad.

We called immediately to express our concern, hoping for a responsible response. Instead, we were met with a casual “Thanks for bringing it to our attention,” with no apology, accountability, or acknowledgment that we were encouraged into trying the dish based on their glowing recommendation.

It’s not just about the $25 wasted — it’s about the poor food quality and lack of basic customer service or care for feedback. I hadn’t planned to leave a review, but after thinking it over, I believe it’s important to share this experience so others are aware.

Terrible Experience with Food Quality and Customer Service

I've been a regular customer at the shop since I moved into town, but my latest experience was absolutely appalling. Not only did the food seem to have been sitting out for hours, but it was also expired. I was shocked and disappointed by the lack of attention to detail and care for customer satisfaction.

To make matters worse, I visited the shop in person to clarify the issue later a day, and the employee’s response was completely unprofessional. They accused me of not calling them earlier, conveniently ignoring the fact that the shop was already closed by the time I discovered the spoiled food. I tried to contact the owner via voicemail and SMS, but they showed no willingness to resolve the matter or even acknowledge their mistake, rather being upset about me reaching out to hom.

The lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by the staff and management is alarming. It's clear that the new management has let the quality and service standards slip. As a customer, it's disheartening to see such negligence and disregard for customer feedback.

Unless the place takes any action to address these issues and prioritize customer satisfaction, I would strongly advise others to avoid this place. The loss of trust and confidence in their products and services is evident, and it's crucial for them to regain it.
