The food is delicious. I read great reviews, went to try it out and I loved it! Their coffee is the bees knees, not sure what they use but it isn't acidic like most places. I tried the chilaquiles, they were soooooo bomb! The salsa was delicious, which caught me by surprise. Eggs were cooked wonderfully with very nice and crispy tortillas. I was a huge fan of the home fries, mmmm mmm mmm! They really do make things just the way I like them. I tried quite possibly the most scrumptious and fluffy pancake ever. I truly wish that my review didn't reflect less than 5 stars for the food. The cooks are definitely the best part of this diner. My first time there I had an amazing waitress, she was kind and very attentive. I don't remember her name, she was a gorgeous latina. I returned the following weekend, and was served by another beautiful young woman with reddish pinkish hair. She was kind, food was great... same old, same old. When we went to pay,my boyfriend misunderstood her and thought he couldnt add a tip to the card. He didn't have cash, so we paid and left. I wanted to go back the next day, my waitress from before was there and I heard her talking to another beautiful older waitress about us and how we didn't tip her. She was being very loud and ugly about it. When I drank my coffee, I noticed the inside was stained really nasty like the cup wasn't washed, the service was terrible. I honestly didn't feel comfortable or safe. I have never felt that way dining out. The fact that anyone handling your food could be so openly rude and obvious bothered me. I didnt finish my food, tipped her $15.00 and left. I love this place, would love to go back, but I probably won't... and that's a bummer.
If you're reading this, you were such a beautiful person before you turned rude. I'm sorry for whatever you were going through and I wish...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThere isn't alot of places where they sell home-made breakfast in pleasant grove, so I search up on Google and it lead me to this diner in Mesquite. I looked at the rating and the pictures that other customers had posted. My friend and I decided to try this diner. Don't judge the resturant just because it's in the front of a motel, yes it is small but it was well worth it. Here why? Even though this resturant isn't big like most other resturant but it is unique and the staff who runs this resturant is family own. I am very picky when it comes to breakfast, I do not eat breakfast because is not a lot of choice where to eat so usually I skip breakfast. That day I order T-Bone steak well done w/medium eggs with some French fries instead of hashbrowns cause I like fries better with my meal. It came with biscuit and gravy. Now the biscuits isn't store bought it is fresh made and good portion and the gravy is so good š. My friend order the breakfast combo it comes with 2 eggs, 2 links, 2 bacon & 2 pancakes. Later that day, I brought my mother & older son. My mother order the same as my friend order the pancakes combo. I think my son order the patty melt w/onion rings. Dessert I order the peach cobbler w/ice cream. I usually don't order the peach cobblers cause I have tried every other places and never satisfied my taste buds but this one Wow! It was delicious š I love it. The prices on the menu won't break your bank. It well worth it.
I definitely recommend this diner to my friends, family and coworkers. If ya curious ya should stop by and try it yourself you won't...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! My mother and I have eaten here before and the service was excellent. The food matched the service, but today was a 180 degree turn. The customer service was horrible. The server acted like she had a problem with us. We did not get any napkins until we asked for them and she served us our ordered coffee with no creamer while everyone else had creamer with their coffee. We asked several times and she kept passing by us. Then we get the creamer and our food but she didn't even give us silverware. So we can't even eat our meal. She finally brought the silverware to us while our food is getting cold. Then we asked for some jelly with our toast she said she would get us some, but she passed by us 3 times without delivering it to us.. Mind you everyone else had jelly. I then asked the cook as he passed by for some jelly at which point he spoke with our server and she then promptly brought the jelly. The worst part is that the mesquite diner served my 83 year old mother curdled, spoiled creamer in her coffee. Then we go to pay and I take the cup of coffee to the register and ask for compensation. The server says she can take the coffee off after she asked the owners. I say that's all you can do for us? What happens if my mother gets sick? She laughed in my face. I began to get enraged, but my mother said don't argue with them just pay and let's go. We will never come back. You would be smart to avoid this place...
