My most recent visit with the Mesquite Branch were extremely horrible, the bank manager and assistant managers attitudes are horrible, they have know since of urgency. They set with the door open laughing and carrying on as if there aren’t 8-10 people waiting in the lobby.
I’m not sure how you can be profiled by your own race but that is exactly what happened. I explained my situation the gentlemen (managers) stated that there was no way my account was closed based off what I stated, although there were notes in the system. It had to be because I was reported to check systems, accused me of depositing 300 dollars in my account on 8/14 that caused my account to be closed, because the check was not cleared. I explained there was no way my account was closed on 8/2 it could not have been me. He then went found a video of a lady about my height on 8/16 called me out of the line where I was trying to deposit my payroll check to ask me to view the camera proceeded to tell me it was me. I again tried to explain that was not me and looked nothing like me similar braids and maybe height close, the women was bigger and lighter than me. The assistant bank manager and manger kept me there for 15 minutes looking at this video, turns out he wasn’t even looking at my account, had the wrong account. What made this even the worse the 1st time I came to open a new account they said the account was closed for something similar, I asked them to look again well dang turns out they were wrong then. I had to wait another week to figure out what was going on in my account. What pisses me off is he was 100 percent sure I was lying! I was ready to provide a written statement form my boss that at 11 am there was no way I could have been in the bank on 8/16 I was teaching my students!
I will never return to the Mesquite Branch, there is seriously a need for training in customer service. I had one good experience that was with Monica there and I feel she was told not to return my calls because I never heard from her after my 4th visit.
I was promised calls for 3 weeks and nothing I ended up finally contacting corporate and going to another bank branch 11 miles away. Thank you to Kameron and the member service person and manager whom actually took my concerns seriously.
I have yet to receive a phone call stating they regret putting me through hell! My check is still on hold because it’s a new account once again and the amount. I visited my local Credit Union of Texas branch in Mesquite for the purpose of obtaining a Cashier's Check. This request for a cashier's check was a tad bit different than any of my prior withdraws. This time I needed a bit of help with verifying that my computation was correct. For I wanted to add a daily compound interest rate "i" at 21% APR - for a period just "n" 30 days. It's been several years since I've had to calculate financial numbers (NPV, PPV, IRR, etc.,) and I knew I was a bit rusty. Not worries. Koehler Vanlandingham came to my rescue. She and one of her managers, Mitchel, popped the number right up for me. I made a quick mental scan. I was in agreement to their final number (they had a much higher level of accuracy than what I was mentally able to calculate). Now for the sad part. I'd left my place from the front of the teller line in order to track down the answer to my interest rate add-on as it was already past close. So when I went back to the teller line, Koehler (just minding her boss's instruction), had already passed her till in to be closed. Ugg. . . I thought. But not to worry. Although technically I was late in returning to my place in the teller's line, and yes it was past closing time, they realized my blight and opened their till just for me. Wow!! I barely made it. But, they made it right by me and I was able to complete the transaction I had originally entered the bank for. Good things do happen to those that sometimes least deserve it! Read moreI have been banking here for about two years, and have never found such a rude person that attended my business one day. Lady (can't remember her name) has the office on the right hand side, as you enter, was yelling at me, and was so loud, that everybody in the bank at that time knew about my transactions and overcharged fees. This Credit Union employee told me that she banks and used to work at Mesquite Credit Union, I still don't understand why she still works there. My complaint was that too many charges were in my account, and that caused me to be overdrawn by $250. she offered to clear two charges, and then threaten to charge me more if I did not followed her instructions, her voice was so loud that I had to close the door, and walked out. Ridiculous and unbelievable from an employee that suppose to be in customer service.
Don't bank here, all my business accounts also my wife's are at another bank, I will transfer all my money to a new account as soon as I can. All of this was about a yer go, since then, I have received the best customer service, and was offered a credit line, The person who gave so horrible service, has not been seen since. Great bank! will definitely recommend.
