Spanish Trails Inn — Hotel in Mesquite

I rented a room late night on 9/26/15 @Spanish Trails in Mesquite off Gross rd. I caught a young (mexican/Caucasian)housekeeper going by the next morning as my friend & i were leaving to showing her that the ceiling by the vanity had been leaking. She said let me go get my manager & this older (Caucasian) lady with shoulder length gray hair & glasses on the top of her head came to look at it. She said to the other girl she told someone it was some pipes leaking somewhere but no one would listen. So she told us to go to the front & tell the receptionist. Went to front to talk to her with my friend to tell her what was going on. We asked if we could get a refund or be compensated somehow to accommodate us & she did nothing not even an offer to. I had my wallet in my had searching for my receipt but she said it wouldn't matter because they had a copy of it. We ask to speak to Manager said that there was no way for them to be contacted at all not even in case of an emergency. We decided to ask if we could go back around to take pictures & the receptionist said yea but she wasn't sure if the key would work but I can try. She would not give her name. I then told her that if not there was a young lady who just got there to clean the room she said she didn't knw I said OK but it was when I just left. When I pulled back around to the rm(120) the young lady was still there & now there was a (Caucasian)guy in regular clothes & no name badge or anything. When we went in the room to take pictures the unknown guy in street clothes told us to hurry up being real snobby I asked who are you & he hesitated & said maintenance check is at 11. I told him I had the key & he said no you don't I do. I told him the lady at the desk said it was OK for me to come take pictures. I should him I had the key. Went back to the front to explain to Paula(front desk) what happened. She was being snobby too saying that he told us that because we were not supposed to be hanging out. I told her we were not hanging out just taking pictures like she said we could. All I was trying to do was explain to Paula what happened when I went to the room. She was just trying to rush us out not trying to accommodate customers at all. We left in a hurry because of her. Pulled off somewhere to eat & realized I left my wallet in the office so I went back up there to get it & it was magically gone. The only two people that were in that off was Paula & her supposed maintenance guy.

09/28/15 Been calling for manager(Ron) since Sunday. Finally spoke to Ron Martintoday & he was being really snobby & snappy. I explained about the leak to see if we could get a refund or half the money back & he was not trying to listen. I know he wasnt listening because he kept getting things i said all wrong or that i didnt say. He said they had a camera & he & paula would quickly review it. I said please do that i lived in waco but i could come back to Mesquite if i needed to. He said paula would give me a call & i explained to him that i didnt trust paula that I would prefer to continue speaking to him because he was the manager. He said he wasn't going to be there but mayb 10min that he had more important things that he needed to tend to.

I would like to report Ron Martin the most rudest & racist manager I have ever spoke to. Paula(receptionist) liar, rude, bad customer service, needs to wear name badge. Unidentifiable no uniform or name badge heavy set maintenance guy, liar, rude,very bad customer service. Building needs to be updated, ceilings leak. I would never stay there again & wouldn't recommend it...

Horrible horrible service!! Paid two night for me and my three year old son just to keep getting calls saying my child was being to loud which he wasn’t. Front desk told me to my face to “learn how to control my three year old autistic son”…..it was their fault they put us on second floor. Wouldn’t change my room nor give me a refund….also when I came into the room it was a big black spider I had to kill and the bedsheets was worn out and stained still with hair on it, had to use my own covers n pillow! DONT COME HERE!!! Basically you can’t even walk around the room you paid for if your on the second floor!!!! And they are rasict. I was in the office waiting in line and the guy was charging the people in front of me way more then what was to be paid only because they are black trying to charge them $30 deposit when it’s only ten dollars and then they changed the price once the worker seen that they been here before and knew what they was talking about …. Horrible customer service to tell a paying customer to learn how to control your kids is very unprofessional when they do t even know what went on in the room just hearing one side. Never again will I come here and I’m complaining to the higher up as well. If it wasn’t for us yall would be out of buisness yall need us to make money why yall dont understand that yall need better respect for us. DONT COME HERE YALL UNlESS ITS YOUR...

Ask for a non-smoking room at check-in and told all rooms are non-smoking. When I entered the room, the cigarette smell was overwhelming. I had brought my own blankets and pillows because I didn’t want to sleep in the cover. The refrigerator in room doesn’t shut and was frozen up with a 6 in of ice, so no way to have food. AC was cold and water was hot, plus for that!! Our AC at home was being replaced and I needed a place that accepted my dogs. When we checked out and left all my belongings smelled horribly, that I had to leave them in my garage, bringing in one load to wash at a time. Even my glasses smelled. I travel for a living so I understand getting what you pay for, but I can’t ever go back due to the nasty smell. On the second day there, I brought my Clorox wipes, Clorox clean up, and swifter. In the end they should have paid me to stay there; I am sure the room hasn’t been that clean in a long time, but no matter how much you clean you can’t cover cigarette smoke infused curtains, ac unit, and mattresses. Again, we had cold ac and nice hot shower and my doggies were able to cool down, so we made it work. Lmbo my husband chose to stay at our house with no ac, he said he just couldn’t handle the smell. I don’t appreciate being placed in that room after specifically asking for non smoking. I’m also kinda pissed no one even mentioned coffee or...
