Shopping for men’s shoes? Do yourself a favor, get in your car and drive to Dillard’s instead. Wasted 30 minutes of my life in this terrible store today (8/2/23). I came in around 5:30. 10-12 minutes in, a guy with a combover walks up. He mumbled something, but I didn’t quite hear it. So I said “hi, do you work here?”. Only reason I asked is because it didn’t look like the usual uniform I’m used to seeing. So he responds “I wouldn’t be asking you if you need help if I didn’t work here”. Rude and uncalled for, but okay still tried to give them a chance. He gets one shoe for me to try on and leaves for about 15 minutes. During that time, he stood at the register talking to another male employee. The one with the glasses. They went to the register and back several times to put clothes back. They probably had MAYBE 2 customers during that time. I was standing there watching both of them the whole time, so I’m confused. Why is hanging the clothes up being prioritized over assisting me with the shoe he handed me 15 minutes ago? Finally, I walked up to the register to see what the hold up was. The other guy with the glasses finally speaks and asks if I need help. OBVIOUSLY YES if I have been standing here for 15 minutes with the box your coworker handed me and never came back. Anyway, I found another shoe I was interested in and asked him if they have another size 8.5, since the one they had on display had a very noticeable brown stain on them. He says no. So, I ask if there was anything he could offer, such as a few dollars taken off or wiping the dirt off the shoe. He says “I don’t know of anywhere that does that”. I worked in retail for years and basically every store I worked at offered “that” to customers in the event of a shoe being noticeably dirty. I said okay, just put the shoe behind the register and I will be back in 10 minutes. During that time, I went to Dillard’s to see what shoes they had to offer. Literally 30 seconds of me being there and someone asked me if I needed help. I kid you not, I spent a total of 5 minutes there and 3 different employees checked on me during that time. I was finished with my sale within 5 minutes of me being there. Spent an extra $20 than I originally intended to, but with that service it was completely worth it! It’s always something with Macy’s and these LAZY employees. These men really gave me an attitude because I was requesting for them to do the job they get PAID to do. Why apply for something, interview for it, and then show up to work knowing you’re going to be miserable working there? At this rate, I’m canceling my Macy’s card and getting a Dillard’s one. Get it together. These employees are awful. No wonder the Dillard’s shoe section had multiple customers, while the Macy’s one had no one else except for me standing there. Seems everyone else already got the memo. It ain’t rocket science, the employees don’t care and the managers need to do something about it. Best believe I walked past with my Dillard’s bag in hand. A little effort would’ve went a long way. Oh well. Get used to it if y’all plan on keeping these lazy...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer to Macy’s for years even when I lived in NJ. What sadness me that I had way too many bad experience in this store to over look it . This one I can’t overlook anymore and unfortunately I will not be shopping at Macy’s or if I do shop it will only be with the few people that I had great customer relation with . The lady at Lancôme Samira is an embarrassment to the cosmetics Department and to Lancôme , every time I shop there I feel disrespected and what’s sad I spend a whole lot of money there but the sales Definitely don’t go to her ,they go to the lovely lady who is always so helpful and always pleasant to deal with Karen ( and I only go for karen and John I found out that he no longer works there ) . I went to get my foundation and eye makeup removal and of course if I like more things I’ll buy ) I am a Lancôme buyer and know what I want and don’t waste anyone’s time ( Karen & John can tell you that ) but if I don’t like a product I will return it and get what I like ... I feel insulted every time I shop at Lancôme when samira is there and due to my hectic job schedule I no longer have time to shop .So I go there wanting to go in and out with my stuff and be done . Yesterday samira was there and I wanted to buy a few iteams , I had to go to Dillard’s and Sephora and Mac because I didn’t want to deal with her and before I left Macy’s I tried to buy but she was interrogating my friend and not giving her the product and wanted to walk with the product to watch to see if we bought something else . Anyways , we end up living because I refuse to give my money to someone so disrespectful and unprofessional . I had to come back after 4 stops to find my foundation that no one carried and the only reason I came back is because I was parked at the Macy’s lot ,then on my way out I saw Karen I immediately bought my stuff there ( samira was starring at me trying to intimate me and as usually make my shopping there aweful . I am a platinum card holder and will be shopping online . What’s bad is Karen will not benefit from me because of samira’s bad unproffecial actions . Needs to be addressed . I’m sure there is many customer samira offend and Macy’s lost them...
Read moreOn November 30, 2024, I placed multiple Macy’s orders as Holiday gifts. Somehow Macys used an old phone number to do a confirmation that I purchased these items (which they have never done even with large expensive items), because it went to an old number, and not the one they have on my profile. Then they cancelled half of my orders after I spent hours placing them. They also sent a gift to the wrong address. I called customer service and got an overseas call center (yes, they told me it was a call center after they got the day wrong in the conversation). They claimed the order going to the wrong address was cancelled, but instead they cancelled an entirely different order. I used the chat to address it, once again I suspect the same overseas call center, and they advised me to return the item to the store. It was a gift, not going to my home address, and I found out a week later its nonrefundable.
This morning, almost a week later, I got notified that even though I was charged for 4 items, they are on backorder, and I have to wait for these holiday items to get to their destinations eventually, some time after Christmas which is useless, or I can cancel them. All these items are gifts going to multiple family and friends in other states.
Even though I have contacted customer service by phone, chat, and tried to problem solve using the online platform, Macys has ruined Christmas. I am not sure if they changed ownership or management because the past few years this store has taken a nosedive and, ever since they outsourced customer service, they are useless. Save your money and time and go elsewhere. I am now down hundreds of dollars, at least a full work week worth of time and more stress and aggravation than it’s worth. I just love paying a company for “ok” products and spending over a week not getting what I paid for. Go to JCP, Belk or even Amazon for some items, you can get the same product, better customer service, and usually minimal hassle returns if...
