Summary: It was nice, but I don't think I would go out of my way to go again as a primary destination.
Facilities: Pros: Parking lot is nice, the machines are clean, and the whole place is cheerful and well lit. Cons: The entrance to the arcade is confusing, and concerning, as I did not notice emergency exits, and one of the entrance doors is fake? The arcade was too warm, temperature-wise.
The games: The machines are all VERY new, and play as such. The win rate and weight ratios need to be considered before playing any particular game.
My experience: I spent $30 dollars at my visit, and won three plushies and a hello kitty keychain. (I consider myself to be very good at claw games.) I traded the plushies for blind boxes, but was saddened that the keychains were not tradeable, for neither points, nor for other keychains. Unless I was trying to impress a date, I feel like I could have made my money go farther at other arcades and play facilities.
Final verdict: give it a try if this is your kind of thing, but it didn't seem to...
Read moreI did enjoy the experience, but the machines honestly pissed me off. I get it, it’s a claw machine. But I’d grab a certain plush like 4 times in a row and every time it’d go back up it would just let go. Not to mention one of the machines broke so easily because my plush got stuck on the barrier. Got my two tokens back but still sucked since I wanted the plush. 1 plush = 1 point. Most of the stuff here is bootlegs, which is sad to see. Spent $50 on things I could get probably for cheap online and way more of. I decided on keeping all my plush, though they are bootleg I felt more value in them. (Possibly because I won them) Also the small claw machines/1 token ones were impossible to win. I wanted a Kirby plush but the claw wasn’t even big or strong enough to grab it. Also my card got charged to Sake Cafe, could possibly be owned by the same people. But I really enjoy Sake Cafe though, they have good food. But I was honestly confused on why I was charged there...
Read moreI'm glad we have a claw machine place in Metairie now, but there's a few problems I have. One being the obviously AI generated logo. It really sucks to see that but that's just a nitpick. The prizes are horrible quality, both in machine and in the prize exchange. As a collector and enthusiast of claw machines in general, it's a bit of a letdown. It is cool they have labubus in the prize area (hopefully they're authentic), but 25 points seems to be incredibly high considering 1 plush is 1 point and most machines tend to just drop the plush upon winning. I understand how the payout system works with these machines but some of the prizes just can't be picked up by the claw. Not to mention the two times I've been there it was extremely hot, as if they don't have working AC. All in all it's a cute place and has potential, but please do better in the prize department, and please pay a real person to make your logo. Authenticity is...
