We did 2 tours with this group - Little Havana with Annaliese (5 stars!) and South Beach/Art deco with Farouk (1 star). This averages out to 3.

Little Havana tour - Annaliese is AMAZING. She’s born and raised in Little Havana and her passion showed throughout the tour. She knew so much about the neighborhood, the culture, the locals... it was a great exploring Calle Ocho with her. We got to see the inner workings of this intricate neighborhood and learnt about their history, growth and current economic challenges. Very informative. The food was also authentic to the area and pretty delicious. We started with Mexican, then tried some Cuban sandwiches, Cuban baked treats, fresh papaya & watermelon juice, empanadas and ended with some delicious Venezuelan chocolate bonbons. If you book this tour, ask for her specifically!

On the other hand though... was very disappointed with the South Beach / Art Deco tour with Farouk. To list the items that made me rate this tour 1 star: Other than the first place on the list which served Cuban coffee and sandwich, the food stops were mediocre and had nothing to do with Miami local food. We had samplings of food items from other cuisines which was not expected. The tour sorely lacked a local touch. Farouk is not a Miami native and was not able to articulate passion or local flair for what he was explaining. It was promised as a small group tour with no more than 10 people but we had 13 in our group We got to Ocean Drive well after 8pm when it was dark out - I was expecting to see the actual SOUTH BEACH Spent a lot of time walking through the open air Lincoln Mall... waste of time No proper commentary on Art Deco or Miami history Farouk was rude at times and asking us to be quiet to pay attention to him. We were not disturbing the other tourgoers and this isn’t school! Tour took way longer than the promised 3 hours. We were bored and exhausted at the end of it.

For the South beach tour, I recommend either scouring the area yourself or going with a bigger, more established tour company. Don’t waste your money if Farouk is the guide! However Annaliese who did the Litte Havana tour was FANTASTIC! So choose with caution. She should do her own tours independently - worth every penny. Him -...

We spent a beautiful Sunday afternoon with Danny as our tour guide in Little Havana- what a delight! The neighborhood is all bright colors and happy hip-swinging music. Danny knew so many people on the street who stopped to speak to him. Sure, most of those people had something to sell and they hoped we would be their customers- but it was a joy to be exposed to it all- a person with parrots for photographs, a man selling peanuts for a dollar, and all the people in all the shops we stopped in . We ate cuban sandwich (amazing!) , guava pastries, empanadas, and churros- it was basically two meals!. Danny also told lots of stories and we learned about the hobby of dominos with a Cuban twist, and the history of the Bay of Pigs. This was not a serious history tour, but it was super fun and I highly recommend it. He pointed out a jazz club on the tour, Ball & Chain- we stopped there for a cuban mojito after the tour and listened to the band. It was a...

Our tour guide took us to many of the iconic places on Miami Beach. We tasted a wonderful diversity of foods from a Cuban sandwhich in one of the oldest cuban resturants in the area to authentic baba ganoush and the best empenadas. Along the way we visited many of the great old buildings in the art deco style that are present throughout the area. Our guide had an amazing knowledge of the history of the area. Not only the history of the city but of the people and cultures that have shaped the diversity that is Miami Beach. My wife and I thouroughly enjoyed the evening, and recommend this tour to anyone interested in the culture and history of Miami Beach. Our tour guide Faruk was an intelligent and engaging guide, and made the evening a special treat for our first trip to Miami Beach. On any return trip to this area we will definately book a...

Uncle Danny was the best tour guide ever; fun and entertaining! He was so knowledgeable about the history of Cuba and Little Havana. Just a good genuine and friendly person. We stopped and tasted all the food/drink items that were advertised on the menu for the tour: seafood, mojito, Cuban sandwich, guava pastry with Cuban coffee, empanada, sugarcane drink, churros. We visited many of the art stores which were very interesting to see. It was nice seeing the way Danny interacts with his community! It was also nice getting to meet Big Papa. Would definitely recommend to friends, family, and whoever is interested in participating in a Cuban food tour in Miami.

Can’t say enough good things about Food Tours in Miami and our epicurean tour guide, Jennifer Porciello! We had a memorable culinary experience and history lesson, eating and drinking our way through Little Havana, meeting some of the stalwart business owners in the community, and learning about Cuban-American history. Jennifer was an excellent tour guide - a great conversationalist, former restaurant owner, and someone who loves her community and is passionate about its history and people. Our tour was 2.5 hours and we left with our bellies full, a deep appreciation of Little Havana, and a desire to learn and sample more Cuban cuisine! Thank you, Jennifer!

My husband and I had such a great time on our food tour with Danny in Little Havana! Danny knew so much about the history, culture, food, and members of that community. We learned so much from him! Loved seeing those playing dominos in Domino Park and seeing all the art displayed throughout our tour as well. The Cuban sandwich, mojitos and churros were some of our favorites! If you’re thinking about doing this tour, book it now! It’s an easy and enjoyable walk with a great host!
