Nice place to have a chill meal after visiting the local Books & Books store. Everything was excellent from the service to the locally sourced food to the atmosphere. Makes you forget that you're smack in the heart of Miami Beach.
I started with the avocado salsa and chips, which is really just guacamole and chips. No matter, it was so fresh with large chunks of avocadoes. The chips were also freshly made. It's really have on onions though so be aware.
For dinner, I had the crab cakes meal. It comes with a large spinach salad and mango chutney. There is also a creme fraiche under the salad. I could have done without that bit. The crab cakes were seasoned and fried well. The portion looks tiny, but I was full at 1.5 crab cakes.
The service was great. At no point did they make me feel rushed. Considering that they don't have many tables it was nice to be able to take my time and read at a liesurely pace.
I took a piece of key lime tart to go. This was my seventh key lime pie for the week and we...
Read more(07/22) We were visiting from California. We stopped to eat at the Aura on Lincoln restaurant in the afternoon. We were so hungry and the place looked nice from the outside, and we expected the same about the food and service. First, they seated inside because the weather wasn't looking too good. A worker was smoking Hookah inside the restaurant and my kids starting having a headache due to the chemicals and smell from it. We requested to sit outside. My kids asked for some lemonades and the lemonades were so sour with no flavor at all. My kids didn't like them. They never brought us water. Finally, we got the food and my Chicken Marsala was one of the worst I ever had. The chicken was old, and had a gummy texture. We were very disappointed with our food and service. The only employee that was nice was the girl at the entrance. She was very attentive when we were seated. After that, our dinner went downhill service-wise. I would never come back or refer family and friends to eat at...
Read moreThis place is excellent! My boyfriend & I strolled around Lincoln road in search of a nice restaurant. Aura called our names & had a great selection on the menu, beautiful ambiance, & nice specials. We chose to sit inside & really enjoyed it all. Jose got the burger & I ordered a churrasco. The food was WONDERFUL. Something about his burger made me want to try it again & again. The steak was cooked medium, just like I wanted. It had mouth savoring flavors & the size was HUGE!! Service was well, very attentive. I would definitely go again! I adore that Books & Books was inside the restaurant. I found it when heading to the restroom. Towards the back of the diner, you’ll see the cutest pathways & eye opening Miami art towards the back. My only slight alteration would be the music choices. It fluctuated many times from current pop hits to old pop. When eating there, i felt the vibe was best met with Jazz, Spanish pop, or Cafe style beats. You MUST TRY IT OUT!...
