Global Luxury Suites at The Apex Miami — Hotel in Miami Beach

By far this is the WORST HOTEL I have ever stayed in Miami!! I have been coming to Miami for the past 25 years and stayed over 15+ different hotels...this hotel BY FAR THE WORST HOTEL I have stayed in South Beach.

I have observed several significant issues that are severely impacted my stay. There are bugs present throughout my suite, and the overall condition of the room is concerning, with multiple aspects appearing to be in disrepair.

Specifically, the window shades in my suite fell down and remained broken for four days, leaving the windows uncovered and compromising my privacy. Additionally, the bathroom door became stuck shut, requiring assistance to open it. The bed linens were stained, and the room has a noticeable unpleasant odor. Furthermore, it seems housekeeping services are not being provided.

When I have contacted the front desk with requests, I have been told that a note would be made, but no action has been taken to resolve the issues I have reported. I also found the hotel reception staff to be inexperienced and discourteous.

I WOULD 100% STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL. There are near by hotels with less rates you can book. I would suggest CitizenM, and many other great REAL hotels...

I’d like to leave the most exceptional review for Global Luxury Suites at The Variety. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was unmatched. Leah, Fernando, and Walmarys were so accommodating, kind, and professional — they made our entire experience flawless.

Even though our check-in was scheduled for 2 PM, we arrived early and they graciously allowed us an early check-in and a late checkout. That flexibility made such a difference and showed how much they truly care about guest comfort.

The accommodations were top tier clean, modern, and spacious. The location was ideal, and the service was truly 5-star across the board.

The rooms were spotless, beautifully designed, and felt like a true home away from home. The location is perfect, walking distance from everything you could need, and the customer service was top-tier — kind, responsive, and genuinely caring.

I’ll absolutely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for luxury, peace, and top-notch...

This place has "luxury" only in the name:

NO luggage room: The receptionist allowed us to store our suitcases for just one hour initially and was visibly annoyed about our afternoon flight.

NO continuous access to the swimming pool: Since the pool is shared with the adjacent restaurant, access is restricted to specific times.

NO parking: Although parking was mentioned on the booking page, guests are directed to park in a nearby public lot.

OUTDATED rooms: The decor and facilities are in desperate need of modernization.

"Do-it-yourself" service: If you book for three people, expect to claim each bed linen item separately, as the staff won't do anything for you.

NO promised perks: We never received the advertised food and drink voucher.

PRESSURE for good reviews: The staff repeatedly asked us to leave positive reviews. Well, here’s mine.
