Miami New Drama — Attraction in Miami Beach

Museum Plays was one of the most creative performances I have ever attended! How often can you watch six original, timely, thought provoking pieces while in a museum? Each small scene took place in a different gallery of the Rubell and the audience, divided into small groups, rotated through each, joining together for the finale.

The writing was excellent; the actors delivered each role very credibly; and while the Rubell collection provided context and inspiration, it was a reminder that one doesn’t need elaborate sets, props or costumes to create a memorable theater experience.

Miami New Drama produces thought-provoking new work that engages directly with the community. Their level of professionalism is unmet and the work seen onstage and off is of a caliber all unto itself. The productions are consistently awe-inspiring. Going to the theater at The Colony is always an unforgettable experience, the theater is located right at the heart of South Beach so it isn't difficult to find a place to go before for a bite or hang out afterwards to have a nightcap. This company has reinvigorated the venue and injected life into the cultural community of South Florida.
