Hugo the service manager
So on June 2nd, 2025 I lost 500$ at some point thru out the day I couldn’t pin point the exact time but I know that I only left my house and I had to go to Miami lakes auto mall Chevrolet service center to pick up a brand new engine which they had ready for me and everyone was very helpful from the front desk to Walter being extremely helpful loading it up on the bed of my truck and Hugo the service manager even came outside to make sure everything was going great and even making sure that I was getting token care of and offered his assistance if there was anything I needed and stayed until I was finished. On my way home to pompano beach I noticed that I was missing 500$ which is money that I desperately needed and figured I would stop at the bank once I got the engine. My heart sinks as I realize I didn’t have the money, I desperately looking everywhere frantically. I called the store 4 times hoping someone might of turned it in. Nothing. It was pouring in the evening and I am completely soaked walking up and down my street outside in broward hoping I dropped it in my driveway or something. No luck. My hopes dying with every step I take. I left my phone inside the car after the fourth call and the lady at the front desk of service told me she told the manager and if anything she would call me. Mind you I fully take responsibility I should have been more mindful and responsible. I go inside my truck after hours of walking looking everywhere and I have 4 missed calls. It was Hugo the service manager calling me to tell me he found my money and that he had it and assured me that it would be safe until I can come pick it up. I literally Could not stop thanking him and thanking the lord upstairs that the right person found it. It goes to show his character & morals that he immediately called me to get me to stop looking for it because he expressed that he knew what it feels like to lose money that you are defending on and that right is right no matter the amount. I could not stop thanking him I offered him lunch or if there’s anything I can give him to compensate him and he refused it for the fact that just me coming to pick up the money that I lost and that he found was more then enough that he was just happy that he found it and was able to get it back to me. He even took the time to give me words of encouragement to speak on faith and I took the time to share this experience because he deserves to get recognition because he did not want anything in return and I offered he literally told me that him being able to return what he found to me was were he was getting his satisfaction from and all he wanted is for me to find my money I mean wow. I was truly truly grateful and honestly this would have impacted my family in a very big way negatively and he was just so encouraging and positive about the whole situation. This just goes to show his true character as a man, manager and human being. With his actions I will be recommending everyone to go to this service location Chevrolet Miami lakes auto mall, also the lady at the front counter was helpful as well for relaying the message to Hugo but he really took it upon himself to go find it. Honestly I believe this reflects his character as a man & professionally I would trust him to always have his customers best interest in mind in whatever way possible whether it be serving your vehicle or going above and beyond. Read moreMy name is Antonio Owens, and I am writing on behalf of my wife, Jessica Lugo, who recently experienced an ongoing and deeply troubling issue with a 2023 Chevy Malibu she purchased on March 18, 2025, from Toyota of Hollywood Used Cars on State Road 7.
At the time of purchase, the vehicle had only 19,000 miles—a nearly new car by any standard. However, what followed was nothing short of a nightmare, and most importantly, a series of life-threatening mechanical failures that have not only compromised our safety but also shaken our faith in the dealerships and manufacturers responsible.
On May 4th, while driving home through a busy and dangerous intersection, my wife experienced the unthinkable: the vehicle completely shut off in traffic, placing her in immediate danger. She was terrified, stuck in the middle of the road, and had to rely on strangers to help push the car to safety. This traumatic experience could have ended in tragedy.
The next day, May 5th, my wife returned to Toyota of Hollywood to report the incident. Shockingly, the staff showed no willingness to inspect or assist with the issue, citing that it was a GMC vehicle—even though they had just sold it to her. Instead, the car was taken to a GMC dealership on State Road 7, where we were told after three days that the vehicle had been repaired.
Yet on May 14th, disaster struck again. The car broke down in the middle of traffic for a second time, once more placing my wife in harm’s way and leaving her emotionally distraught. Despite her fears, she sought another opinion and brought the vehicle to Chevrolet of Miami Lakes on May 15th. They assured her the issue was resolved, returning the car to her on May 16th.
Tragically, just moments after leaving the dealership, while driving to pick up our daughter from school, the car shut down again—in traffic. For the third time, she was stranded, panicked, and unsafe.
On June 1st, after even more time in the shop, we were told the car had been driven all day by a technician and was "good to go." But when my wife went to pick up the vehicle, it failed to start—again.
At this point, my wife is paying monthly for a car that is not drivable, not reliable, and not safe. It has broken down four times in traffic, each time putting her in immediate danger. Despite repeated assurances from multiple dealerships, no one has identified or fixed the core issue. This is completely unacceptable, and we are now being left with no choice but to pursue legal action.
We are pleading for this issue to be addressed with the urgency, empathy, and seriousness it deserves. This is not merely a mechanical inconvenience—it is a direct threat to our safety and well-being. My wife has been placed in danger time and again due to gross negligence and repeated misdiagnoses.
We expect a prompt and responsible resolution to this matter. Until then, we are documenting every step and preparing to escalate through legal, consumer protection, and media channels...
Read moreOn June 7th of 2025 my son and I went to Miami Lakes Auto Mall so that my son can purchase a new car. We went the weekend before so that my son could see more or less what he wanted and get a feel of the different cars that they had and we met a man by the name of Mr Carlos Mangual ( Sales Person). We spoke with him and he gave us a little taste of what the experience would be like when we would come back. On our way to Miami Lakes Auto Mall on June 7th, we called Carlos and he greeted us as if we've known him for years and he assured us that he will be there to greet us and actually called us about 5 minutes later to let us know that he was stepping away for a minute just in case we got there and wouldn't see him, very professional on his part. Once we arrived the whole process began and my son ask Mr Carlos to test drive three different cars and let me tell you the patience that Mr Carlos had as he would go back and forth looking for the keys of the cars that my son wanted to test drive, when we were in the car test driving; the knowledge that Mr Carlos had of the cars that my son test drove it was just amazing, really and truly a breath of fresh air that someone knows what they're talking about. He gave my son the best deal ever and my son came out with a new Chevy Task 2025. Once we were done there we had to go to the finance department and we also met a gentleman by the name of Mr. Daniel so that he may explain to us what my son was covered for and the GAP etc., etc., and I am a 50 year old woman and I have had a share of cars throughout my life and the way that Mr Daniel explained everything to my son and I; for the first time in my life I really understood it. Amazing amazing amazing!!!! Again a breath of fresh air that someone knows what they're talking about. I would highly recommend going to Miami Lakes Auto mall. There's nothing like sitting with someone and knowing that they're not annoyed; that they're not ready to go home; that they're really and truly there for you and they want the best outcome for you.
