House of AUM — Local services in Miami Township

I love truly love this place! I have such a busy life taking care of others and neglecting my needs. Not anymore. I'm so very grateful I found House Of Aum! The classes help me stay balanced, happy and grounded. Its great for all levels and the instructors make you feel comfortable and welcomed. They're all so very caring and kind. I did a weekend retreat and that included a stay at the local bed and breakfast, dinner, an amazing massage and a host of other wonderful, inspiring activities. I couldn't recommend this space enough. Update: It's now four years later, and I did my yoga teacher training here and have been teaching for a year. I felt compelled to update my review because Melissa, now my dear friend, mentor, and owner, was accused of being a racist, and it's the farthest thing from the truth. I have traveled from Columbus to Yellow Springs for many years because AUM made me feel comfortable, held space, and listened and heard me out as a Black American woman. Melissa has the biggest heart, has helped countless people on their yoga and healing journey, including me., and is the most inclusive human I've ever met. She is kind, humble, knowledgable, and has a light as bright as the sun. Melissa is a true yogi and embodies them and teaches the principle of Ahimsa, which teaches respect for all living things and avoidance of violence towards others; AUM and Melissa live and stand by...

My retreat experience with House of AUM, led by the incredible host Melissa, was nothing short of transformative. The serene beauty of Costa Rica and the thoughtful organization of everything at the Encantada Ocean Villas by Melissa created a life-changing retreat. Melissa's gift for bringing people together to connect, heal, and restore is remarkable.

The House of AUM retreat not only provided a serene escape but also fostered a sense of community and personal growth. Melissa's guidance and the support of the Encantada staff made the experience even more special. I became a member of the AUM online community shortly after getting home from my trip, a testament to the lasting impact of the retreat.

While still at the airport heading home from Costa Rica, I couldn't help but recommend Melissa's next retreat to my best friends. The joy and pleasure I experienced during the retreat were so profound that I was eager to pay it forward and share this incredible moment in my life with others. House of AUM and Melissa have created something extraordinary, and I'm grateful to have been a part of it.

House of AUM is a very special place where I come to practice yoga and where I studied my Yoga Teacher Training (a yoga teacher certification program approved Yoga Alliance).

My life has made a turn for the better after taking this program. Mind, body, spirit, and so much more! I have made such wonderful memories and created such a tight bond with my peers in the program (plus Melissa too)! I will cherish this experience for a lifetime!

I believe House of AUM is a place for all who want to challenge themselves, to explore greater possibilities in their practice, to relax from the business of life, to understand the fundamentals of yoga, and gain inspiration for what life has to offer!
