After moving here full time a few years back, I was in dire need of a good jeweler. For years I had someone who was great in NYC, but with all the craziness in the last few years & the move, it became next to impossible to continue going to visit him. I would pass M.S. BROWN during the day when I went shopping & was attracted by the elegant simplicity & classic good looks of the business, especially the fact that it is a family business with over 50 years of expertise. I view jewelers the same way I view mechanics & doctors- no room for error. Well, I got my wish with this jeweler. At first it was simple - batteries for my watches. Then I had a prob with a pricey watch that I had bought. John went inside the watch, which was fairly new & gave me a brief synopsis & told me it was fine. He tweaked something & it started right up. No prob & I left. I just kept thinking how honest this young man was. He never even charged me & my watch has worked ever since! So when it came time for a piece of jewelry that I wanted to have made for a few years, I went there. His lovely wife & I went over the design & the cost & the amount of time it would take. M.S. Brown Jewelers has been repairing my gold chain for years. It’s been 10+ years that I’ve been bringing my chain every time to M.S. either in Wildwood or Court House and they get it done in a timely fashion every time. They are very reliable and trustworthy to work with. I always have the light work reparations to get done, as it seems like I always have a small break on my chain or bracelet. I don’t think twice about taking it to my local jeweler either in Wildwood or Cape May Court House. John at the front desk has helped me recently in the court house location in different visits this year to put two 14k gold fasteners, a lobster claw clasp, a new gold fastener ring, and a bail for my cross on my chain. He was very helpful with any questions and suggestions you have and will get straight to the point of what he thinks you should get for sizing and repair. Furthermore, if any other repairs are needed for my chain, again I will go back to M.S....
