I’ve had several frustrating experiences with the pharmacy at this CVS—this review isn’t about the store employees, who have been great, but specifically about the rude blonde pharmacist.
After receiving my first two Hepatitis B doses, I was told by other pharmacists (not the blonde) that I’d need a third. I made an appointment a month after the 2nd dose, but it was canceled the day of with no explanation. When I called, they said the third dose needed to be six months after the second dose. So I rescheduled for six months later, and it was canceled again, the day of. I also had a chickenpox vaccine scheduled that same day, so I went in anyway—only to be told they didn’t have it and had no idea when they would. The staff even joked about how they never have it in stock, which was frustrating since this was my third attempt and I booked it months in advance.
While there, I asked about the Hep B cancellation. The blonde pharmacist told me, with an attitude, that I got one dose in the first visit and two doses during my last visit—even though I only got one shot in the 2nd visit, and my CVS app shows two separate 0.5 mL doses. I questioned her again how it didn't make sense and she just kept repeating herself rudely, not changing the way she was explaining it at all. Still confused, I went home, did some research, and called back to clarify. The same blonde pharmacist spoke to me with more attitude, and hung up in the middle of me saying thank you. I later confirmed with my sister, a nurse, who explained that based on the hep b vaccine type I received, I only needed two doses. This was such a quick, simple and kind response that the pharmacist failed to give me.
On another visit, the same blonde pharmacist was annoyed when I wanted to update my insurance because it was 15 minutes til her lunchtime. I don't blame her for wanting her lunch because I would want to eat my lunch too, but its sad how she chose to be rude about it. Rudely telling me it would take longer than 15 minutes even though it only took five minutes when I returned.
I get that working in a pharmacy can be incredibly stressful, but many places deal with the same pressures and still manage to treat customers with respect. Maybe these places have better training or better support, but there’s no excuse for repeated rudeness.
Ultimately, to the blonde pharmacist specifically, customers aren’t healthcare experts. We’re just trying to understand our care. Clear and respectful communication should be...
Read moreI would have given a zero or negative star review for this location if possible, and my family will never use this pharmacy again. This is by far the worst CVS that I have ever been to.
We had a drive thru Covid test appointment with this place at 1:00 pm today and we arrived ahead of our scheduled time. There were about 6 cars in front of us. The line was moving very slow. After waiting in the car for more than 40 minutes, I went in the store to see what was the reason. A young woman told me that their system was down all morning therefore appointments piled up. I went back the car and waited for another 10 min or so and finally we reached the window. To our dismay, the window was closed the very minute we were able to get there and we were told it was their lunch break. We needed to wait for at least 30 min to have test done. There is no way that we will be there for another 30 min in the cold weather, and I had a prior engagement I needed to be at by 2. Before I left, I went in the store question them why they didn't inform us about the system breakage in the morning, and why they told me nothing about the lunch break when I went in asking about what was holding up the line. A woman there threatened to call the police on me because I was not too happy. I am looking for a way to file a formal complaint against this pharmacy.
We late found an appointment with another CVS at 483 Hwy 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. The whole process took a few min to complete. The girl work there is very nice and...
Read moreBad experience with the pharmacy. I left my pediatrician with my 2 year old and they were calling in 3 prescriptions for her. While I was on my way to head there to pick them up CVS called me. A very rude man told me ( in a short, annoyed and nasty tone) that he could not fill my prescription because it was sent to another CVS (which he couldn’t tell me which one) and that he called my doctors office 5 times and no one answered and told me that now I had to call my doctors office to figure it out. (When I left the doctor there were about 5 woman sitting at the desk and no one in the waiting room) I called the office and someone answered right away. Told her the story n she confirmed it was sent to the right CVS but said she would call them and sort it out. She called me back about 20 minutes later and said she had been on hold for over 15 minutes with CVS and couldn’t hold for them any longer (I understood, she has a job to do). Meanwhile I got a text from CVS asking me to take a picture of my insurance card which I did. I then called CVS back and the rude man answered once again and told me “yeah it’s fine I’m filling your prescription now”. A phone call to tell me that would have been nice so I didn’t have to reach back out. My husband went to pick them up on his way home and we only received 2 not 3 prescriptions. Need to work on customer service and maybe retrain your...
