I have been doing business with this establishment since 2010 when I bought my first new Waverunner and have had mixed feelings as they’ve changed leadership many times over the years. I was also happy to see the Motorcycle Mall name come to Monmouth because I had fond memories of buying my first motorcycle at their shop in Belleville in 1996. When the touchscreen on my 2020 Yamaha FX SVHO Waverunner stopped responding, I called the dealership close to my house in Tom’s River. They told me that because they were prepping everyone’s skis for the summer they had no appointments available and that I should call some time after Memorial Dsy just to try to get an appointment. They also let me know that mine was a common problem and that the parts were delayed and difficult to get. I called Motorcycle Mall and was able t speak with James who confirmed what Toms River told me but suggested I get it to them to diagnose. He gave me a drop off appointment for the following week. When I arrived, there was no question that they were just as taxed with servicing existing customers also eager to start their PWC season. The place was a bit of a madhouse. Construction, painting, and customers and their machines everywhere. The staff not only assured me that they would get to my ski that week but they had someone come and unhook the trailer from my truck with the same care I use myself. They understood the value of my possessions to me and could not have been more respectful. Both Teddy and James explained to me that the parts were likely going to be delayed but they needed to diagnose the problem in order to get the process started. I left the ski and as promised, they assessed it the very next day and called me immediately to tell me they were going to start the warranty process and order the needed parts but again warned me that it could be weeks and maybe even months. I got a call about two weeks later saying the part was in and that they wanted to schedule the repair. Expecting multiple week delay, I was shocked when James asked me about MY schedule and preference to get it to them. He explained that it should be a quick job and we decided it would be dropped off the following week. When I returned with it I got the same five star service with assistance unhooking and I left. I got a call the next day and was told I could pick it up at any time. No charge for the service at all. No extra fees that I could have expected. When I went back to get it I was extremely grateful for the way my case was handled. The place was still chaotic but James and Teddy gave me their undivided attention. When I said that I would have understood if they put me off until they could get some of the work off their desks at this time of year, Teddy told me that they genuinely care about their customers and understand how much their equipment means to them. I have a stressful job like so may do and my ability to get on the water is a significant contributer to my mental health. These guys get it. With the decline of customer service in all industries the response I got from Teddy, James and their staff was actually shocking. I would adamantly recommend using them for the service of all of your power sport toys. Five stars isn’t enough! Thank you motorcycle mall. I picked up my ski and went right to the ocean! Be...
Read moreIf I could give them 0 starts I would. My experience with Jersey Shore Power sports was one of the worst ones in my life. They advertised seadoo rxp 300 for sale at $13.7K. I called a day prior to showing up to confirm the price and was told by the sales person that they don't discuss prices over the phone because they're that good (should've been my #1 sign of why not to go there). I asked if I could bring my jet ski for evaluation for a potential trade in in case I decided to do that and buy the rxp 300 (I own 2015 seadoo rxpx 260). The day that I was going there I called again to make sure that if I arrive at 4pm there will still be sufficient time to complete the sale and was told that yes there's plenty of time. Upon my arrival (at 4) the sales person told me to hang tight. Around 6pm the sales person put together a sales agreement (took them 2 hours to evaluate my ski and to prepare and show me the sales agreement). Per the sales agreement the price of the ski they were selling went from $13.7K to $15.2K and in addition they added mandatory coast guard whistle and a fire extinguisher for $820 (and when I showed them that I already had it they offered to me half for nothing). Seadoo is currently running a promotion of $500 back but they add it and say that they are the ones giving you $500 off pretending to be something they are not. Then they insisted that I go through their local bank in hopes to get a better rate than Sheffield Financial which is commonly used to finance jet skis (they came back with a rate of 8%, my credit is excellent and I have a loan for my curent ski with Sheffield at 3.7%). Lady from the financing department didn't even ask me about the term and quickly decided that I should finance for 7 years. In the meantime they were making sure to drag out the time to 7 o'clock in order to give me no time for any negotiation and sign the paperwork and leave. They offered me decent money for trade in but when it came time to review payments and final costs it was as if I was gifting them my ski for free. Essentially what they finally proposed totaled to $25.8K but rather than presenting me with that amount thy tried to sneak around and hide it and only show me the monthly payment hoping that I would not really count, consider the rate and he term. I currently owe $10K on my current ski so basically they were going to take mine (with warranty still) and sell me their rxp 300 for $25.8K. I ended up taking my papers and jut walking out. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! I am amazed at how 5 employees along with sales manager/ owner were not able to manage and help 2 customers from 4-7. Sales manager / owner (that sits on a podium) looks and feels like he used to be cheesy used car salesman in Brooklyn NY that failed miserably with cars and decided to move on to power sports. I read bad reviews prior to heading there but thought that people were too skeptical and thought would give them a chance. Real people...
Read moreI purchased my first bike here and to say these guys went above and beyond for me would be an understatement. Here is my story.
Frank - When I first walked I met Frank who was my sales rep. Frank was knowledgeable and an all around good dude who suggested the perfect bike for my needs. Since this was my first bike I didn't know much so I decided to fact check what Frank was selling me by doing research online while waiting for financing. Turned out everything he told me about my bike was true and it was in fact the perfect bike for me. Not only did he match me to the perfect bike he managed to juggle 3-4 customers at a time due to some salesmen calling out that day which was impressive. He was also very personable and made me feel like I was buying a bike from a friend not a salesmen.
STU- Then I move to Stu who was the Finance manager. Stu had trouble getting me the financing but he didn't give up. He called multiple banks and spent about 2 hours trying to find me a deal that would work. After his efforts he was able to secure a few deals for me, but he admittedly advised that they weren't in my best interest which gained my trust. I ended up paying for the Bike outright and he even worked with me on pricing. Those of you who understand financing know this doesn't benefit Stu as much as securing a loan. He could have kicked me to the curb but he didn't. He was selfless and put my needs before his own and we worked out a deal that was best for me. I would send anyone I know to work with Stu and hes a true professional as well as a caring person.
Matt - Now I'm excited to go and I have the bike that I've always dreamed of but since its my first time riding and I only took the written permit test I DROP MY BIKE RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DEALERSHIP! Matt saw I was struggling and immediately came outside to make sure that I was safe. He showed me how to use the bike and gave me a little tutorial in the parking lot. He spent about 20 minutes with me showing me how to take off and what to do in case of an emergency situation. Then he let me practice for another 20 minutes on my own in the parking lot. I'm not sure what Matt's position is in the company because I had not met him until this point in time. However, I'm sure he had 100 other things to do than teach me these basics and ensure I was safe. I was so embarrassed that I couldn't drive the bike I just bought but he didn't make me feel bad about it or judge me. I couldn't believe how nice this guy was. Without his help I could have gotten really hurt. The result? I'm driving this bike without any issues and having the time of my life.
Thanks for everyone involved and I love my bike!!!!!!!! You guys made a...
