Went on Friday may 19 to pick up prom dress that was promised for Thursday. We got there and lady had difficulty locating the dress. She found it on another rack. It had not been touched. She said she overextended herself and was behind. She said she could finish what she was working on and have our dress done by 4 pm. It was 2 pm. I told her that my granddaughter had to be at school then. The lady said 3:30. We left. My granddaughter and I decided that we didn't want her to rush getting it done so we went back into the store and told her that we would give her more time and would pick it up on Saturday. The prom was Saturday May 20. I offered to come at 11 to give her plenty of time to work on the dress. She said okay and that I could pick it up at 10 when she opened.
I pulled in the parking lot at 9:55 when my daughter called me and said the lady just called and the dress was not done. It would be finished by noon. We walked into the shop and a man told us the dress was not ready. Would be ready at noon. I told him that noon was not acceptable b/c my granddaughter had a hair appointment at 12:15. He said okay it would be ready at 10:30. I was getting upset. I told him that this was the second day I've run out to pick it up. We live 45 minutes away and our Saturday was filled with appointments for my granddaughter to get ready for her prom. Her dress needed to be hemmed and a bead tightened on the top. The man was so cavalier. Seemed like he didn't care about the urgency or the inconvenience. Actually we felt like the dress was never getting altered. Said she was working on it and would be done at 10:30. We had no place to go so we left and sat in our car in the parking lot and waited.
We returned at exactly 10:30. My granddaughter tried on the dress. The hem was fine but had to remind her to tighten the bead which was marked by a safety pin. She fixed it. Said she would offer us a discount for our trouble but never said how much. We paid 52 dollars and left.
This was a 500 dollar prom dress that she had for over a week. She mislabeled when the dress was needed. We gave her extra time so she didn't rush the alterations. There was no reason to put us thru that. Both the man and woman acted so uncaring and curt. If she took in more work than she could finish than she shouldn't have taken our dress. Or other work if she was overextended.
The alterations were fine but the customer service was sorely lacking. We...

Wasn't a problem for me. Very happy. This place is in the very back corner of the Village Square shopping Center in the courtyard next to Annie's Attic. It can be a...

The very least she could of done was call and let me know she needed more time. Took my dress somewhere else! I reccomend KC Bridal & Prom at The Sewing Room!...
