Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Middletown

This particular Dairy Queen is the best fast food restaurant I have EVER been to. The place is spotlessly clean. The staff is super friendly and cheerful. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The senior owner, when there, walks around greeting and chatting with folks. There are so many regular customers that he knows by name. The place fills up for Saturday morning breakfasts. Lots of windows makes it bright and cheerful. Its a fun and happy place.They go all out to meet the customers' preferences. For example, I request an Adkins-style country breakfast, which is not on the menu board. They double the meat and eggs and leave off the biscuits and hash browns. Are you hankering for a BLT? It's not on the menu, but they'll gladly fix you one. And a minor perk are their big napkins! Thank you Bill and Billy for such a great neighborhood...

This particular DQ is the best fast food restaurant I have experienced. It's like visiting family for a meal. The staff is so friendly and attentive. They talk TO you not AT you. The food is ALWAYS so good. The $5 lunch special is such a great deal. It comes with a beverage and a DQ sundae!! You can't beat that!! Breakfast there is great, too. Eggs any way you want them and a choice of bacon, sausage, city ham, country ham, or grilled chicken. The bacon is nice and crispy (or order it chewy, and they'll do that too!). The best part are the owners, Dad and son, Bill and Billy. Bill is so much fun and always ready with a smile and great service. Horrible management. I ordered sausage gravy and biscuits but the gravy has no sausage! If I hunt for it I can find a tiny little speck of sausage Which tells me it’s supposed to have sausage in it. It’s like they took one Patty and graded it to be spread across 5 gallons of gravy.

This is one of several problems in my short visit to the only franchised Dairy Queen left.

I’m grateful to the three associates who wanted to make it right. But when they tried to each time I spoke with one of them, the manager stepped in and made it known that he is apparently too broke to offer outstanding customer service.
