We left Middletown Vet because they became so big, they forgot what they started the clinic for. We did not want our children to attend an assembly line. We wanted someone who cared about them. I did lots of research and read reviews and chose Willow Grace. I originally felt very happy there. They were attentive and seemed to care about our fur babies. In the one year that I was there. I put down 6 animals whom I loved dearly. Four of them were put down by strangers because Doctors were not available. I then adopted 3 more. I spent close to 10000 dollars in costs for surgeries, visits, booboos and more. You never know what attitude you will get, depends on who is at front desk. Dr Stacey became more involved with opening her new emergency center than looking after my babies. In that year, I visited once to twice a month, minus two months. Once we were told they would not approve their heartworm meds through Chewy, because they were due for an annual visit. Even after each one of them had been seen. Then on our visit, they stated we had to get blood tests for heartworms because if they took the meds and had heartworms, it could kill them. But they are the ones who canceled their meds and made them go without for 3 months. Dr Stacey did give the tests and not charged, because she remembered the event. But then got nasty with us saying, we received free services. After all that, the lights went off there one day. They called stating they had to cancel our appt. Later, they called back saying the lights were on, did we want to come in. Because our dog was feeling better and it was late, we said we would wait. We also had been up all night with him and told them we thought it was too dangerous to drive. They said, okay. Afterwards, they sent us an email saying we were being charged 35 dollars for not coming to our appt. The one they cancelled. I still have voicemails and emails. I responded stating I would not pay it and I was very upset. I was then told I treated everyone there poorly, all the time, I got discounts for lots of stuff and got lots of services I was not charged for. And I missed 8 visits, remember I had been there once or twice a month, when? Also, I would pay the fee, or we would not be seen again. I asked lots of questions with no response and then received half of my dog’s records in the mail. If you want to have your fur babies seen by whomever is available and have no issues but a annual visit, then by all means Willow Grace is okay. But if you want to see the same doctor, get no attitudes and get treated decently, forget it. They do not like late, changes, or issues.... at all!! God forbid you have several. And do not get upset and cry because you will get told you are mean and rude. After spending that much money and time there, we are appalled at the way we got treated. Appalled!! I do not want an attitude with an assembly line hump de dump. I want my babies treated with the respect they deserve, the same doctor we always see, and special care when there are issues. Also, mom and dad deserve respect as well. Remember when someone’s child is sick or hurt, you are going to have an upset parent. You should be able to fix both...
Read moreAs someone who has worked in several vet clinics, I love and highly recommend Willow Grace. The staff (front and back staff) are all very friendly and accommodating. My family has a LOT of animals - we recently rescued a litter of kittens that were dying in a barn - so it can be hard to remember all the appointments. Willow Grace was very reasonable in refunding a missed appointment fee, which I appreciate considering the thousands of dollars my family alone has spent there over the last 12 months. While nursing the litter of kittens back to health, Dr. Smagala was truly a blessing in their healthcare. She would stay in the appointment as long as necessary to give all 4 boys a thorough exam, answer all of my questions and concerns, and be generally patient and gentle with all of them (as well as my other pets and my parents' pets). It is a bit costly, especially on the occasions where you pay a full exam fee for a 10 minute follow-up that you sat and waited 30-60 minutes for - BUT, I understand why the wait happens. You cannot expect to meet with a patient doctor who will hear you and help you until YOU are satisfied if you are also expecting that same doctor to cut every appointment off at the exact 30 minute or one hour mark just so YOU aren't kept waiting. There is a necessary give and take, and I am beyond happy to give my time and wait a bit longer in order to continue receiving the stellar customer service and care that their whole staff offers you. 10/10, will always recommend. I have since moved since the first time I brought my pets to Willow Grace, but I would rather drive 45 minutes for reliable service and good people than risk trying any other vet. Hands down best vet in...
Read moreThis past Saturday we lost our dog Ozzie! 💔 It was sudden and unexpected and devastating for our entire family. It happened so quickly that we didn’t know what to do. The ground was too frozen for us to bury him at home and the travel vet my mom uses was too far away. It was 3:45 on a Saturday and most vets in the area had already closed for the day. I reached out to a friend who recommended Willow Grace Veterinary Hospital.
I looked them up and saw that they closed at 4pm. Mom gave them a call anyway. The service that we received from this Vet was absolutely phenomenal. We are no one to them, we have never been a client of this Vet. They told my mom they would stay open for as long as they needed to for us to bring Ozzie to them. I think we arrived around 4:45. Not only was the manager present but the techs as well. Everyone waited for US. They were so sincere and so compassionate during such a difficult time for all of us. I cannot possible give them enough praise.
They made a terrible situation a little easier on my mom and we felt comfort and confidence that they would be gentle and take care of Ozzie during the cremation process.
If you or anyone you know is looking for a local vet, please give Willow Grace a try! We will be taking all our small pets to them going forward! Thank you so much for your compassion and kindness, it will not be...
