Terrible Cancellation Experience â Inconsistent Policies and Poor Management
Iâve been trying to cancel my Crunch Fitness membership for over 4 months, and the process has been an absolute nightmare. I was initially told to cancel through the Crunch website, which I did, only to later find out that the cancellation process varies by locationâeven though it's the same Crunch Fitness corporation. How does that even make sense?
I've been tossed back and forth between the Midland and Lubbock locations, with neither taking responsibility. I've also received promises of callbacks from higher management, but those were just empty wordsâno one ever follows through. Meanwhile, Crunch Fitness has no problem calling me promptly when itâs time to collect payment.
My last call with the Midland location was especially frustrating. The General Manager actually asked why I kept calling Midland, telling me I needed to contact Baley, the General Manager in Lubbock, since thatâs my âhomeâ location. But again, isnât this all Crunch Fitness? Whether independently owned or not, the company should have clear, consistent policies and properly trained staff to handle issues like this.
Long story short: Crunch Fitness makes it easy to join, but nearly impossible to leave. Their lack of communication, poor accountability, and inconsistent procedures are unacceptable.
On the second incident, I recently received a call from a Crunch Fitness trainer to set up an appointment, but the experience was very unprofessional. As soon as I answered, the trainer told me they had another call to take and abruptly ended the conversation. It felt rushed and disorganized â especially since they were the one who initiated the call. First impressions matter, and this left me questioning the level of professionalism and respect for clients' time. I hope the staff is better trained in how to manage client communications...

I've had such a positive experience at Crunch Fitness, and I wanted to share how incredible the team has beenâespecially Tiki Granados, GM Liz, and the childcare staff.
Tiki Granados (Personal Trainer): Working with Tiki has been an absolute game-changer for me. Heâs always upbeat, positive, and genuinely cares about how you're doingânot just in the gym but overall. He knows how to adapt workouts to your ability and makes sure you're being challenged without feeling overwhelmed. Thanks to his guidance, Iâve lost two clothing sizes and three inches around my waist! He celebrates every victory with me, and it feels like I have a true partner in my fitness journey. Heâs even happy to let my husband join in on sessions, which has been a huge bonus.
Liz (General Manager): Liz is amazing! From the moment I first reached out, unsure about joining, she was warm, encouraging, and made me feel welcome. She even took the time to connect me with Tiki directly and passed along my contact info so he could help ease me into getting started. Every time I see her at the gym, she greets me with a smile and makes me feel like I truly belong there.
Childcare: The childcare team is a lifesaver. The manager is kind, patient, and never rushes me. She always makes sure Iâm comfortable, whether itâs letting me take my daughter to the potty or giving me a quick call if a diaper needs changing. At first, my little one didnât like being left, but now she absolutely loves goingâshe looks forward to seeing the other kids and the super sweet staff every time.

10/23/24 I would change it to 5 stars since This review needed to happen. The new manager is more concerned with being popular in the gym than the upkeep of the gym. Itâs more hairballs on the floor than in the movie Cats. Itâs pieces of equipment thatâs been broke since May and I have taken pictures every months since. Bros in there skipping legs days, what kind of world we living in when bros skipping leg day. They canât be skipping leg days. Legs ext machine talking about everybody need a rest day I mean since May come on man. The ppl that work there keep giving that played out lie yea we hired somebody they will be here next week.
Itâs only one person who cleans and he canât do it by himself. He is also the only person who tryâs to fix things Iâll get a picture of him and post it later he should be managing the gym and not the fake manager they got running it now. Whoever owns this place should do an undercover boss and go in and check out your business because these clowns you have employed are running it into the grounds man itâs nasty in there. Maybe you should hire a cleaning service to clean that place it shouldnât be tumblehairs blowing about the building like we in the Wild Wild West.
