We placed a mobile order for a family meal and ended up waiting over an hour. The restaurant was extremely busy — at one point, there was even an ambulance outside, so it seemed like something serious may have happened. Several people walked out due to the long wait. While delays can be understandable, the way the situation was handled made it far worse. The front desk worker was visibly overwhelmed but also incredibly rude. She ignored us and other customers, including a woman next to us who had been waiting 30 minutes just to place her order. We even pointed this out to the employee, and her response was, “It’s just me here, can’t you see?” — not exactly the kind of attitude you expect in customer service. I asked for a refund for our mobile order, but was told they don’t do that — essentially, we were just expected to keep waiting. It got to the point where we told someone who had just walked in that they’d be better off going somewhere else. Before leaving, I told the worker that a little kindness goes a long way — especially when customers are already frustrated. Read moreI'm really NOT a Karen, I usually give way TOO much slack to service workers, but this was bad. The first order we placed, they left out sauces we asked for. Not that big a deal. Came back next week, ordered 4 things. 2x 12 boneless wings, signature hot. 1x 12 pc boneless, BBQ. 1x tender combo meal, with gravy and mac n cheese.
We collect our meal, leave, and count our items. We're missing a thing of boneless wings. Dad goes back inside to get it. 15 minutes later comes back and tells us he had to pay for it. I go inside with the entire meal, a sweet older gal asks what's wrong, I show the tickets specifically pointing out how we didn't get what we paid for. She gets me a replacement, I thank her, we head home.
Here's what we got: 1x Ghost Pepper boneless with barely any sauce / seasoning. 1x BBQ boneless, the only thing they didn't mess up. 1x regular boneless wings. 1x regular bone-in wings. No gravy. No extra sauces.
I like Popeye's food, but we won't be returning. I suspect the tweaker mumbling to himself the whole time was just glancing at the orders coming up and randomly throwing similar stuff together.

I have been delivering through Uber Eats for this location since June. This location is horrible with deliveries. They do not start the order until you have verbalize to the cashier that you have arrived. They have a system to where walk-ins are prioritized and as delivery confirmations come through, they are added into the mix. This causes mishaps and leads to me waiting 30 minutes to a hour, after arriving. I see a multitude of orders get fufilled over me and out of about twenty to thirty orders, only one has been on time.
The only reason I even go to this spot, is the mileage. I live right around the corner and sometimes it is worth the $10-$15 . If you do not stay in the vicinity, the time vs. payout is not worth it. This location is only good for the walk-in takeout or dine in.
