Village Green — Local services in Midland

As a Mother's Day gift, I ordered a premium bouquet for my mom, expecting a stunning arrangement to brighten her day. However, the reality was far from my expectations. The bouquet she received was a far cry from what I had chosen online. Instead of a carefully curated arrangement, it looked hastily thrown together, akin to a grocery store assortment hastily shoved into a vase.

What disappointed me the most was the lack of care evident in the arrangement. It seemed as though the florist was overwhelmed by the Mother's Day rush and simply didn't bother to put any effort into creating a beautiful bouquet. Despite calling to express my dissatisfaction, the offered solution—taking back the bouquet to redo it—was not only tacky but would have been awkward to explain to my mom.

While my mom did find the flowers pretty, as the purchaser, I was extremely let down. The fact that I received the "flower value" does little to remedy the situation when what I received was nothing like what I had paid for.

I will continue to support local florist vs ordering from a national chain like 1-800 flowers I just don't think it will be at...

Had to give a massive shout-out to the team at Village Green Flowers for making our day! My brother Mitch lost a bet (poor guy!) and had to show up to pick up flowers dressed in a full pink ballerina fairy outfit—tutu, feather boa, tights, ruffled bottoms, the whole shebang! The staff was amazing—they laughed with him, made him strike poses, twirl, and even wave to traffic. It was priceless watching Mitch get into it, looking like he was enjoying the humiliation just a little too much! 🤣

And to top it all off, they even promised to post the photos online, so the embarrassment could live on forever! 😅 Mitch may never live this one down, but at least he took it like a champ. The flower arrangement was perfect, but honestly, the real highlight was watching Mitch prance around the store in his fabulous pink getup.

If you're ever in Midland, swing by Village Green for a good laugh and top-notch flowers. Trust me, these folks know how to brighten your day in more ways than one!

As always, my dad waited until the last minute to get my mom something and of course he asked me to take care of it for him! I had called a couple florists, but had no luck until I called Village Green! They were SO accommodating, especially with such a small amount of time. I thought it was awesome that we could choose a price point and they would make an arrangement to fit it. They did mention that they were quite limited on flowers so that worried me a bit. I picked up the flowers the next day (Mother’s Day) and I was so pleasantly surprised. The arrangement was absolutely beautiful. I almost couldn’t believe they’d put it together in less than 24 hrs. Needless to say, I will continue to go to Village Green for any of my future...
