Haven Haus Co — Local services in Midway

Shopped on Jan 11 & bought several items including 3 clothing pieces. I love supporting local operators. Went back on Feb 8 (within 30 days) to EXCHANGE one clothing item for a different size. They didn’t have the item in stock anymore so I picked a more expensive item to exchange it for. The sales associate told me that she couldn’t process the transaction because the exchange had to be made within 14 days and I was outside of that time frame. She then asked if I wanted to buy the item I had selected. She also said the store has a policy of no returns. Only exchanges or store credits done within 14 days of purchase. I did not buy the selected item, left with the item that was a wrong size and now useless to me, and left disappointed bc I will never shop here again. This is a great example of bad business. This owner does not care about his/her customers. Especially in a town that has many part time residents, it’s hard to come back in 14 days. And a no return policy does not favor the customer- only an owner in lowering the owner’s inventory risk. If the store had accepted my exchange, they would have had a higher price point sale and a loyal customer. Now they have neither. And this owner doesn’t care about the poor sales associate, who had the difficult job of telling me the rigid policy that is so anti-customer. The store had some cute items but was vastly overpriced and the customer service was TERRIBLE. The staff couldn’t be less interested in you unless you’re an influencer. We waited nearly 10 minutes at the checkout to be served because apparently one register was broken and the other had a two girls chatting who refused to move. When it became clear we were getting inpatient the staff member simply rolled her eyes and carried on chatting. She refused to acknowledge us when she finally did serve us, threw our overpriced purchases in a bag and carried on her conversation. Avoid if you value your money and...

I love going to Haven Haus! As soon as you walk in, you're greeted by the friendliest staff, delightful scents, and a beautiful variety of home decor and gifts.
