Don't visit on Labor Day Wknd during Swiss days. It was such a horrendous experience. 😫 We started by putting our name on the list at the restaurant got told a 30min wait time for a table of 5. So we went over to the Store side and the line to get in took roughly 30mins, we were back out w/in 15mins. Got some pepper/salt, Korean chili seasoning, honey, sparkling apple juice, & tools for making sourdough bread at home. The restaurant hadn't called yet so we called them only to be told they gave away our table after calling us 4xs (but no missed calls on our phone) they said all we could do was talk to a manager? So we walked back to the restaurant side waited in line again, talked to a hostess who agreed to seat us right away. They sat us inside at a 4 person table and left us sitting there unattended for 20 mins. A separate table was seated right next to us and a server came up to them almost immediately w water and taking their order. As the waitress was walking away from that table, we asked to be helped. The waitress was polite said she would check to see who's helping us, only to come back saying she didn't know who had our table but she would take our order. We proceed to order appetizers, mimosas/coke, and meals all in one. Mimosas arrived in normal time, pretty and tasted good. But the coke was missed, had to wait for that. Our appetizers took another 20 mins to arrive, and low n behold we get a phone call from the restaurant asking for the wrong name to seat our table. Then it was probably another 30 mins before half the tables order came out - 3 Salmon plates w Brocolini that was seriously undercooked and mashed potatoes. The other 2 small pizzas took another 20 mins to come out, so everyone eating Salmon was already done. The pizzas were very underwhelming and honestly I would not order pizza there ever again, the Margherita pizza didn't even have tomatoes on it. I'm not even sure I'll eat these leftovers. The waitress never came back to our table w our bill so we paid at the front ourselves and by this time their bathrooms were temporarily out of order, just like the gas station down the road too... previous experiences at the restaurant by members of our party have been successful and the food/service were both wonderful, but today was a total fail, and for me as a 1st timer to the restaurant there's a slim chance I'll be going back. But if you are going, let it be an event free day in Midway so you can get the proper service n food quality you are spending a...
Read moreI wanted to like this so so bad because I am rooting for them, but I was so underwhelmed and left a bit disappointed that I am leaving a review. Totally get that it’s kinda new and that there are some things to iron out, but leaving a review if only to help potentially point out some needed edits.
They were out of all adult size full aprons and only had one child size full size apron in the entire store. Half the bins were empty. When I got to the bakery section, they had only TWO available items in the glass case (blackberry olive cake and a regular croissant). They said they had been out of the chocolate croissants since that morning (they said they sold out in 20 min after opening) and didn’t have any extra to put out. They were out of the whey strawberry lemonade and then the card readers were not working on any of the machines, so they had to be entered manually for every customer. Again, I get that hiccups happen when a business has only been open like a month or two, but leaving this as it might be better to go once they get their operations and supply chain in check.
Also, I didn’t go on a busy weekend day or anything. It was a weekday morning, just two hours after opening. It wasn’t even that busy, just seemed that way because the line was so long from the broken card readers. Again, get that this happens, but also so many small things added up.
The ice cream cone’s actually ice cream was like any other soft serve really, but the cone is really good. If you’re getting it get the cone not the cup. The Whey Lemonade was...
Read moreWe were so excited to come up and try some things from the Ballerina Farm Store. It was soooo busy, but we expected that as it was a Saturday. We were disappointed to see that almost everything was sold out in the bakery except the chocolate tahini cookie which had mixed reviews from our group - some loved it some hated it. The whey lemonade was amazing and we enjoyed the strawberries and creme protein milk. We had actually made the drive for the soft serve and while the waffle cones were fresh and delicious, the soft serve itself was terrible. It was so earthy it was hard to enjoy. It smelled and tasted just like a cow. Unfortunately we did not enjoy it and threw away most of the 8 dollar cones. We drink raw milk and enjoy it, as well as eat grass fed beef, but this was really really earthy and not delicious. We would go back for some of the other itens we got, but definitely not...
