Quartz Source — Local services in Milford

If I could leave less than 1 start I would. I checked the website and hours as well as peoples reviews. I saw a fair amount of negative reviews but decided to go regardless due to many positive reviews. I drove roughly 1 hour to the shop. There was one person in the shop other than the owner and a sign that said a mask was required. I walked in the shop(mask on) was told that I needed an appointment to come in the shop. I was confused and initially decided to leave without further inquiry but given I just drove an hour to get to the place I decided to go back to the doorway and ask about appointments: thinking since there was only one person about to check out that I could come in after. After the person left the owner came out and told me they were booked solid until for the next 3 days. I got rather upset and told her I just drove an hour and there was no indication an appointment was needed on the website. She then told me that I should have called given the times were are currently in. I responded and explained that maybe updating her website to explain that an appointment was needed might prevent people from wasting time and money. At this point I just left in complete disgust. I was absolutely shocked at how unaccommodating and rude she was. Reviews that deface the customer service here are simply fraudulent. If people would adhere to the business owner's mask mandate, of which is very apparently displayed on the door as soon as you enter. I think you'd find yourself in a more hospitable environment.

Whether you chose to follow the rules of the establishment you walk into is up to you. However, don't expect to be greeted kindly when you cannot follow the simplest of rules. Grow up, mask up and follow the rules. This isn't your house. It is infact, the owners. And whether you agree or not, you should be expected to follow said rules while under her roof!

All in all, I've been going to Quartz Source for quite sometime. And the service I have been given is always kind, intelligent and courteous. The selection that is available is top tier. And the prices are more than fair. (If you know your stuff!) I could easily spend an hour walking around and looking what is in display.

My fiancé had been waiting a year to come to this store, what a disappointment for the both of us. The owner had a clear disregard for anyone else's feelings but herself as she was extremely cold, rude, condescending, and clearly wanted us out right from the start, telling us we needed to finish shopping as the store was closing for "lunch".
