This is a really cute restaurant and tavern. You can tell they took a lot of care in the restoration and conversion. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the bar section was really full. The restaurant section had just maybe three or four tables seated. The waitress was very friendly but the kitchen service was incredibly slow. There were a lot of wait staff... Too many for the crowd because for most of the time we were there most of the wait staff was just standing around or folding silverware or chatting because there were not enough customers for them... So it appears to me that they have too much wait staff and not enough kitchen help. I ordered a Reuben sandwich and it was not particularly good ... on the dry side. It had a lot of meat in it but that was it. Fair selection of beers, prices are a biton the high side for what you get (but I realize they obviously put a lot of money into the renovation). So my overall impression was kind of meh. I really do wish them well but they need to work out their staffing issue because the food coming out of the kitchen took way too long. The restaurant section did start to fill up while we were there and everyone waited a really long time to get their food. I may try it again in the future but right now it's definitely not one of my...
Read moreWe happened to have selected this place in passing and knew nothing of it. I had a challenging parking situation, I approached two gentlemen in the parking lot and they helped solve my issue. It turns out, they were the owners. What a great start. They were super friendly and accommodating.
My son ordered the burger with mushroom and bacon jam. All I heard is 'yum' then it was gone. If you order the Cobb salad, make sure you are hungry as the portion is very generous. I don't love salad so coming from me it means alot when I say I was extremely satisfied. It was cold, crip, and tasty. I also had the onion soup. It was a bit salty and could have used e a larger piece of butterry bread for soaking up the yummy juices.
The ratio of beer selection of beer to food menu was on point. We went on a Sat afternoon after a hike. We hit it before it got busy. The staff is young, friendly amd with just the right amount of attentiveness. Having great staff is part of the good experience and kudos to yall for showing your best side.
I wish we could have stuck around to celebrate with your one year anniversary congratulations and Rock...
Read moreFirst time at this restaurant last night. I understand they are new and getting on their feet. I hope this helps them improve.
FOOD: The food was average. They were out of one dish on the menu and hamburger buns, so the menu was limited. We got nachos with chicken to share at $16. They were not anything special and overpriced for the portion in comparison to other places. I got the chicken caesar salad, which was average. The chicken was tough. I got the mexican mule drink, which was great.
SERVICE: The staff was super friendly and nice. Our waitress Avery was great. I removed a star for the amount of time it took to get a drink. The restaurant was busy, but it seemed the bar was under staffed.
ATMOSPHERE: It was very hot yesterday and their AC was either not on, broken, or turned down too low. I felt bad for the staff running around in those conditions. There was a blues band playing and they were great, but it was way too loud. The decibel count was 90 to 102. Too loud for a room that size. Download a sound meter app and stand in the back of the room and monitor that. The place is clean and...
