   Read moreI brought my digital camera here for a repair and was initially told Iâd receive a quote within two weeks, with the full process taking up to six weeks. They offered a ârushâ option due to my upcoming trip, but two weeks later, I received a $579 quoteâalmost the original cost of the camera. When I asked for a breakdown, I was told the entire cost was labor. (Girl how?) After questioning that, the story changed to $310 for the circuit board and $269 for labor. When I pointed out that new boards are available online for half the price, the owner abruptly rejected the repair, cutting off the conversation entirely. For your reference I was not being difficultâI am a 20 yr old girl who mustered up the courage to ask 2 questions.
My real issue with Millburn Camera was not the cost but how poorly they communicate. Their entire repair process is outsourced, and apparently, the technician can only be contacted via emailâone question at a time. So every time I asked for something to be clarified, they would send him an email, wait for a response, and call me back, only to send him another email when it didnât make any rational sense. Every attempt I made to get clarification was met with vague responses and delays. Iâve never had issues with service providers even when they are often expensive, but this was one of the most inefficient, dismissive experiences Iâve had.
Unless youâre fine with spending a lot of money, waiting several weeks, or deeply inefficient communication, Iâd suggest going elsewhere for camera repairs. Perhaps somewhere that does their repairs in house, where you can talk to the technician, and get your questions answered in a normal 5-10 minute...

Two months ago I brought in my infant for 2X2 passport pictures for his first passport. We got the pictures done ($40 worth of passport pics!!) and I sent them into the Department of State for a passport for my newborn.
I had paid an expedited fee for the passport as we were headed out of town for our first post-Covid vacation. Two months later, instead of receiving a passport in the mail, I received a letter from the Department of State letting me know that the passport picture we submitted for my son did not meet the standard as the measurement of the head from chin to the top of his head was less than an inch. As a result we have had to cancel flights overseas, cancel our hotel, and not see our family this summer after a two year wait.
I called Millburn Camera before writing this review and politely explained what had happened and that our plans have been ruined because of their careless service. All I got was a curt "I'm sorry" and that's it. No offer of a refund, no offer of a redo, and no effort to make it up to us in any way. Shame shame shame!
