I am extremely impressed with the service that I received with Sammy. To be honest I am extremely picky and specific when it comes to how my beard is maintained and the hot towel process. I was accustomed to amazing service from Miles and Lyles in Aventura, FL and suffered finding someplace comparable. I haven't submitted negative reviews for other shops due to my understanding of my own specific expectations and because I understand that most may not be nearly as obsessed or involved with the treatment of their beards, but I digress. Sam, the shop "Beard King" was not who I was scheduled to see but after expressing my concerns with my beard trim he graciously modified his schedule in order to accommodate me shortly before closing. The shave was exactly what I needed!!!! Again, he spent time speaking to me about what I ultimately desired and once again gave candid recommendations to allow it to grow out a little more before trimming it. He made sure that the hot towels were used at the right times, used a steamer throughout the process to ensure that the pores remained opened for the closest possible shave. He shaved once along the grain and once against all the while preventing any type of irritation. We finished as would be expected with a cold towel and I felt like a new man. While all the specifics may seem unimportant to most, this is what sets Sammy apart from the 4 or 5 other self proclaimed beard shops in the area. I have driven over an hour to a shop in order to get a good shave which turned out to be mediocre at best and now I don't have to.

My 1st time experience: I was in the area for work and needed a haircut and beard trim so I called ahead and was accommodated same day. The staff was very friendly and the place looked clean and professional. Robert (Rob) gave me one of the best cuts I’ve even had! I asked for his recommendation for my hair & face type and he gave me great advice. You can tell he has great experience and passion. The price was $85 which is more than what I like to spend on a casual cut. This cut was above average, but not worth $85 in my opinion. I’d come here again if I had a wedding or some important event but not for a casual cut.
